Best Beaches

Chaweng is the most popular spot in all of Koh Samui. It is the longest beach to be found on the island, not to mention the most beautiful. This location boasts powder soft sand, crystal clear waters, and unique picture taking opportunities complete with stunning views of the beaches and hillsides to the north.

If you prefer a quieter beach, you may visit Lamai Beach. Similar to Chaweng, it has pure white sand and clean water.

Attractions to Visit
Hin-Ta & Hin-Yai are located at the end of Lamai Beach. Here these infamous stone formations jut out for tourists and locals to appreciate. They are naturally genitalia shaped and are referred to as Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks. Don’t be surprised if the tourists near you are giggling during the visit.

Nam Tok Na Muang is the tallest waterfall in the region, reaching an astounding 30m tall. It is in the middle of Koh Samui Island and as the water cascades gently over the purple rocks, the base of the waterfall cultivates a pool perfect for swimming. If you visit in the middle of the rainy season, you can enjoy an ethereal backdrop to your scenic swims.

Of course, in the same area, you will find Na Muang 2 and Nam Tok Wang Saotong which are smaller waterfalls, but cannot be ascended due to previous fatalities. Nonetheless, these locations offer unique backdrops of beauty fit for any picture taking adventure.

Restaurants to Try

If you are searching for the ultimate in dining experiences while in Koh Samui, Dining On The Rocks at Six Senses Samui is the location for you. Stretched out over the rocks, the cantilevered verandas leave each guest feeling as though their meals and wine are enjoyed adrift on the sea. While on the pricy side of things, every dish offered as part of the six course set menu is uniquely crafted by the cooks who work with new tastes and textures regularly. It is best to make reservations and book well in advance, especially if you want to enjoy the honeymooners table on a private terrace.

Five Islands is another popular restaurant in the region. Perfect for seafood, this fine dining experience starts with a long-tail boat ride out to 5 sister islands and Samui’s foreshore. Upon your return, the meal awaits on the beach. There are lunch and dinner programs, both of which should be booked in advance. Should you not wish to indulge in the tour, you have the option of booking the lunch or dinner options without the boat tours in advance.
