Arrive at Vientiane (Dinner)

Upon your arrival to Wattay Airport, be welcomed by your tour guide and be transferred to your hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Soviet and American influences. Familiarise yourself with a tour of the city including a visit to some of the city sights. These include a visit to one of the oldest temples like Wat Si Saket, with thousands of miniature Buddha Statues as well as the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, housing the famous Emerald Buddha Image.

After which, be transferred to Buddha Park, which houses an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures in the Mekon Riverside meadow near the Friendship Bridge. This park houses approximately 200 religious images dating back over 500 years, which were created by a mysterious monk spreading his life philosophy and ideas about the universe. Enjoy the beautiful scenery overlooking the Mekong River. Be transferred to your hotel to rest for the night.

Vientiane - Vang Vieng (Road) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, take a trip to Lao’s national precious heritage, to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa. Use this time to grab some snapshots of the famous Patuxay Monument- well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. See breath-taking scenery as you move northbound, passing along the countryside towards the mountainous region.

After which, take a short stop at Vang Xang, a famous archaeological site dating back to the 11th century. Reach the small town of Vang Vieng, nestled on the bend of the Nam Song River for our final destination. Despite recent developments made with the advent of tourism, the stunning scenery and a mixture of quiet waters and limestone outcrops still remains. Upon your arrival at Vang Vieng, cross the Nam Song River to Tham Jang caves and enjoy a short trek through a breathtaking mountain landscape to explore the Tam None Cave and some hill villages. End the day with a superb panorama of the sunset reflecting over the river. Be transferred to your hotel to stay at Vang Vieng for the night.

Vang Vieng - Tham Phu Kham Cave (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, come aboard the tractor and ride through the paddy fields heading to Tham Phu Kam caves, housing the most beautiful and famous limestone caverns surrounded by natural forests. Explore the local cultures and daily lifestyles by greeting villagers along the way to these caves, in which hosts a small natural pool which you can take a refreshing swim to rid of the hot climate. Otherwise, you’re free to room around nearby. Use this time to view the scenery as you enjoy having a picnic lunch. After which, return to Vang Vieng town by local transport or tractors. On your way back, have a chance to meet and greet the warm and friendly hill tribe people with their tribal costumes as you pass by a few ethnic minority villages of Hmong, Souayu and Taidam villages.

Vang Vieng – Vientiane (Road) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Head out to the city after breakfast and make your way to Nam Ngum, a huge reservoir created by damming the Nam Ngum River. Upon arrival at the Nam Ngum Lake, embark on a long tail boat trip (approx. 1 hr) to visit villages in various islets, to take a short walk to understand the lifestyle of local fishermen. Next, stop over at Ban Keun, which is famous for its salt extraction plant and a village that distills local Lao whiskey. You could also have a go at the legal Lao casino located in the valley while enjoying the view of the lake. Be transferred to your hotel to rest for the night.

Departure from Vientiane back to Singapore (Breakfast)

After breakfast at the hotel, capture a few more glimpses of Vientiane and be transferred to the Airport for your flight back to Singapore!
