DEC 20 ARRIVAL

Meet and greet at Keflavikairport and transfer to hotel. It is nice to drive into town at this time of year – the city is beautifully decorated for Christmas and a special atmosphere occurs these last days before Christmas.
Transfer time from airport 40 min / 60 km.
Accommodation: Reykjavik

DEC 21 REYKJAVIK & WHALE WATCHING

City sightseeing with lunch (2 hours) / Whale watching (3 hours) / Warm up afterwards in Laugar geothermal water swimming pool and Spa (2 hours).
Accommodation: Reykjavik

Suggestion for lunch: Kopar restaurant or Casa Grande restaurant at the harbor just opposite the departure of whale watching boats.

DEC 22 INTO THE GLACIER

Leaving town after a rich breakfast heading to the Langjokull glacier. Drive up to the ice cap in a 8 wheel drive monster truck to the entrance of the tunnels. After the ice tunnel, hot chocolate at the hotel before heading to hotel for the night.

Tour duration 6 -7 hours / 400 km.

Suggestion of lunch: In the ice tunnel – they prepare wonderful lunch buffet !- must order in advance !

DEC 23 REYKJAVIK

The suggestion for the day is to stay in Reykjavik – as this last day before Christmas is always very special - shop are opened until midnight, choirs and Santa Claus are entertaining down town until very late – just to be there and enjoy the Christmas spirit in the city, is an experience.

Suggestion of lunch: traditional strong fish, skate – which most Icelandic people eat only the day before Christmas.

DEC 24 THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

After breakfast leave for the Golden circle: Thingvellir National Park an UNESCO heritage site, Geyser hot spring area and Gullfoss, the Golden waterfall and most likely will the water be magnificently frozen. After the tour, check in at the country hotel – have a beautiful Christmas buffet and enjoy the Christmas decorations and Christmas tree at your hotel. After dinner, relax until late in the Jacuzzi – hopefully under the dancing northern lights !

DEC 25 THE SOUTH COAST

The South Coast has many amazing pearls of nature; Reynisfjara, the black lava sand beach, Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, volcanos and lava fields, glaciers and rivers. Please notice, the daylight is short in winter so it is necessary to be at these spectacular places in daylight. Tour duration 7 hours /400 km
Accommodation: country hotel /Lodge.

DEC 26 REYKJANES AND THE BLUE LAGOON

Tour around the Reykjanes peninsula, Kleifarvatn, Krysuvik. The spectacular lava formation and landscape is how we imagine the moon – and in fact this field was used to practice before the first man, N. Armstrong went to the moon in 1969. Then relax in the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa; premium package. NB. No treatments are included, but all treatments at the Blue Lagoon must be booked in advance –to avoid disappointment, as they are on high demand.
