After breakfast, transfer to Taipei Songshan Airport for your domestic flight to Kinmen, one of the unique outlying islands of Taiwan. Upon arrival, visit the historic Jincheng Civil Defense Tunnel which was built by the army and civilians in preparation for war. Next, proceed to Juguang Tower, a popular symbol of Kinmen. Outside the tower are 2 cannons which reflect the turbulent history of Kinmen. Both the military and civilian populations were involved in the project, demonstrating their battleground unity. Thereafter, make a stop at Chen Jin Fu peanut candy factory to experience the process of peanut candy production. This morning, proceed to visit Mashan Broadcasting and Observation Station. Then, visit Shishan Howitzer Front, the only military base in the country housed in a tunnel. After a simulated shelling show, proceed to Shanhou Folk Culture Village, built in 1874 and completed in 1900. There are 18 historical houses that have consistent layouts, patterns and arrangements.
