Thereafter, journey to Hsinchu, among the oldest cities in Northern Taiwan with more than 400 years of history. Spend the night at Leofoo Resort Guanshi, a marvellous African-themed safari resort. Peer out of your room’s window and you just might see one of the resort’s herbivorous animals roaming the park.

Thereafter, make your way to Taipei and visit charming Jingtong Railway Station, one of the oldest wooden train station in Taiwan, giving off bouts of nostalgia. Here, you can experience the simple joy of lighting and releasing heavenly lanterns with your fellow travellers. Thereafter, travel to Jiufen, a former gold mining village packed with teahouses and shops offering local delicacies and crafts.
