DAY 2 |
Busan
(Breakfast)
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Busan at leisure. Alternatively, you may join an optional day tour inclusive of lunch at your own expense. The day tour includes a visit to Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park, the 4th national park in Korea and with one of the most beautiful stretches of waterway along Korea’s south coast. After that, take a scenic cruise along Geoje Haegeumgang River to Oedo-Botania, a marine botanical garden. The cruise takes you past Geoje Haegeumgang Island where you will be able to admire the magnificent Lion Rock, Shipjagul Cave and Maitreya Rock. Take the famed Stairway to Heaven at Oedo-Botania where you can appreciate a plethora of stunning blooms amidst beautifully manicured landscapes with the glistening ocean in the background. After lunch, make a stop at BIFF Square to learn about the Korean film industry. Proceed to the bustling Gukje Market, one of the largest and most well-known traditional markets in Busan. Home to more than 1,000 shops and food stalls, you will be able to find almost anything here. Note The optional day tour costs USD120 per traveller and is subject to a minimum participation of 10 travellers. |
DAY 3 |
Busan – Gyeonju – Daegu
Morning, take a leisure drive to Gyeongju, a city of unparalleled heritage and culture. Your 1st stop: a visit to Bulguksa Temple, which was designated by UNESCO as a World Cultural Asset. Today, it houses several important cultural relics. Next, visit Seokguram Grotto, a stone temple crafted from granite that was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1995. Next proceed to Gyeongju National Museum, a steeped in tradition. Representing Gyeongju, which was the capital city of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC - AD 935), the museum is where you can view the cultural history of Gyeongju district. Afterwhich, we will visit the oldest existing astronomical observatory in Asia, the Cheomseongdae. Constructed during the reign of Queen Seon-deok (632-647), it was used for observing the stars in order to forecast the weather. The Cheomseongdae was designated as National Treasure No.31 on December 20th, 1962. Next, proceed to Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the secondary palace site which was used for the palace of the Crown Prince along with other subsidiary buildings and it also was the banquet room for important national event and important visitors.

Daegu - Yeoju - Seoul

DAY 5 |
Seoul
Morning, visit Ginseng Monopoly Showroom before heading to Obdo cosmetic outlet to stock up on Korean skincare products. After which, proceed to Tongin Market, which was originally a local market for Japanese residents during the Japanese colonial period, first opened in June 1941. After the Korean war, lot of food stores and shops gathered around this area which became the Tongin Market nowadays. Here you can find 75 banchan (Korean side dish) stores and restaurants selling local snacks. Thereafter, visit Bukchon Hanok Village, home to hundreds of traditional courtyard houses known as “hanok” that date back to Joseon dynasty. Today, many have been beautifully refurbished and given a new lease of life as guesthouses, teahouses and small shops. Then, visit the newly opened Grevin Museum, the 1st Asian subsidiary of France’s famous wax museum. Your selfies with Hollywood celebrities, Hallyu stars and great historical figures will be the envy of all your friends!

DAY 6 |
Seoul
After breakfast, spend the day at leisure. Explore dynamic Seoul city or join an optional tour at your own expense. Your optional tour will include Camp Greaves DMZ Experience Center, the filming sites of “Descendant of the Sun” drama. Here you will get to explore the different filming sites and also get a chance to dressup as a solider and craft your own personalise tag. After lunch, proceed to Provence Village before enjoyng an afternoon coffee or tea at Dalkomm Cafe and Noryangjin Fishery Market. Here, you will get to feel the authentic market place atmosphere among sellers and buyers. You may purchase fresh seafood and arrange a local restaurant to prepare the seafood dish on your own expense!
