Stay at Xining Qinghai Holiday Dynasty or New Silk Road Hotel or equivalent
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Xining. Xining is a highland ancient city with more than 2,100 years of history. It was formerly known as the “South Railway for Silk Road”. After the tour, we will check into the hotel to rest for the night. Note: If flight to Xining is not available, we will book flight to Lanzhou via Beijing, and then take coach to Xining instead. XINING – TA’ER MONASTERY – XINING
Stay at Xining Qinghai Holiday Dynasty or New Silk Road Hotel or equivalent
After breakfast, we will visit Kumbum Monastery, also known as Ta'er Monastery, which originated in 1379 from a pagoda that marked the birthplace of Tsong Kha-pa, founder of the Gelugpa Sect of the Tibetan people. The site covers around 400,000 square kilometers and is home to over 750 monks. One of the famous items in this monastery is the yak butter sculpture called "Suyouhua". Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER

XINING – QINGHAI TIBET RAILWAY
Stay overnight in a communal 4-berth train cabin
After breakfast, we will have sufficient rest in the hotel room to adapt to the highland climate. Thereafter, we will meet up and transfer to Xining train station and board the Qinghai-Tibet train which will travel on the highest altitude railway in the world heading towards Lhasa. * Due to the current operational procedures onboard the Qinghai-Tibetan Railway, the local operator will do their utmost to arrange for all passengers to be accommodated in the same cabin. Rooming in the berths will be arranged according to the travelling party’s size and age. Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH

QINGHAI TIBET RAILWAY – NIGHT ARRIVAL IN LHASA
Stay at Lhasa Manasarovar Hotel/ Lhasa Jardin Secret Hotelor equivalent
It will be a whole day train journey heading towards Lhasa in the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, passing through Xining, Ge’ermu, Tuotuo River, Anduo, Naqu, Dangxiongand finally Lhasa. You will be able to enjoy spectacular views of Tibet on the way, such as Qinghai Lake, Kunlun Mountain and the freely grazing yaks on highlands. All meals on board the train will be at own expense. Upon arrival in Lhasa, we have to take ample rest in order to acclimatize to the high altitude. Lhasa is an ancient city with 1,300 years of history; it is also the hub of Tibet’s Politics, Economy, Culture and Religion. Meals: DINNER

LHASA POTALA PALACE – JOKHANG TEMPLE – BARKHOR STREET

After breakfast, we will visit the landmark of Lhasa – the Potala Palace. Potala in Sanskrit means sacred place of the Goddess of Mercy. This amazing palace has the honor of being the highest ancient palace in the world. It is also the Tibetan Political Centre and residence of previous Dalai Lama since the seventh century AD. In the afternoon, we will visit the ancient Jokhang Temple, with 1,350 years of history dating back to the 7th century reign of King Songsten Gampo is the most sacred place in the eyes of all Tibetan Buddhists. Thereafter, we walk around the most bustling handicraft market of Lhasa - the Barkhor Street, for some minority handicraft souvenirs. LHASA – YAMDROKTSO LAKE –SHIGATSE
Stay at Shigatse Jiumuyamei International Hotel/ Shigatse Tashi Quti Hotel or equivalent
Today we will set off from Lhasa, climbing over the Kambala Snow Mountain with an altitude of 4,900 meters to visit the Yamdroktso Lake –the world’s highest altitude fresh water lake and also renown as the sacred lake in the sky. Thereafter, along the way we will see an awesome roadside view of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier and Gyantse, which is the outdoor filming scene of the “Valley of the Red River” that is surrounding the Yamdroktso Lake. Next, we will visit the Palkor Monastery, which consists of the 3 major Tibetan religious groups in one monastery. It is also well known for its exquisite mural and carvings. We may also see the Zongshan anti-British Ruins from far before we proceed to Shigatse. Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER

SHIGATSE – TASHILUNPO MONASTERY – DINGRI
Stay at Dingri Bebar Hotel or Dingri Zhufeng Hotel equivalent (local 2-star only)
Today we will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the final resting place of Panchen Lama and also one of the 6 major monasteries for Yellow Tibetan Sect. This monastery was built by the first Panchen Lama in 1447 and thereafter became the residence of all the previous Panchen Lama. The world’s tallest Maitreya Buddha statue, which is 28 meters tall, is also enshrined at the monastery. We will also see the Stupa-tomb of the Tenth Panchen Lama here. Thereafter, we will head towards Dingri. Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER

DINGRI – RONGBUK MONASTERY – MT EVEREST BASE CAMP* – SHIGATSE
Stay at Shigatse Jiumuyamei Hotel or Shigatse Tashi Choten Hotel equivalent
After breakfast, we travel to the border’s check point to process our documentation clearance before we head to Rongbuk Monastery, the monastery at the highest altitude in the world. This over 100-year old monastery was built by the Red Tibetan Sect which is related to the Nyingma religion. The main hall is enshrined with Buddha statues of Sakyamuni and Padmasambhava etc. Next, we will proceed to Mt Everest Base Camp which is the nearest point to view the World’s highest mountain – Mt Everest, with its highest peak at 8,844 meters above sea level. Over there, you will not only see the world’s most intact and most well preserved Rongbuk Glacier, you might also get to see the Everest Kiun which symbolized the Fire of Life waving at you. Later in the day, we will coach over to Mt Jiawula which has an altitude of 5,200 metres and return to Shigatse. Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER

SHIGATSE – TIBETAN MASTIFF PARK - LHASA

Today we will return to Lhasa through the China-Nepal highway and enjoy the highland scenery of the Brahmaputra’s grassland and valleys as well as the desert of Tibet. En-route you will visit The Park of Oriental Miraculous Mastiff. Tibetan Mastiffs with nicknames such as “Miraculous Beast”, “Number One Dog” and “Antique Dog” originated from the highlands of Tibet, at 3,000-5,000m above the sea where the weather is cold. Lastly, we will coach back to Lhasa and appreciate the art of Tibetan Thangka. Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER

LHASA – NAMTSO LAKE*– LHASA
Stay at Lhasa Manasarovar Hotel/ Lhasa Jardin Secret Hotel or equivalent
This morning we will take a coach ride through the Qinghai-Tibet railway and Nagenla Snow Mountain to Namtso Lake, the salt water lake situated at the highest altitude in the world at 4,718 metres. It is one of the 3 sacred lakes of Tibet which is revered as a holy lake in Tibetan Buddhism. With its good quality of pastures along the lakeside, it is a natural ranch. On the return journey to Lhasa, you may also see the peak of Mt Tanggula covered with snow all year round. Note: In the event that we are unable to visit Namtso Lake due to drastic weather conditions, it will be replaced by Derpung Monastery and Past Dalai Lama’s treasured park - Norbulingka Palace. MT CHOKPORI – ZAKI TEMPLE – POTALA PALACE NIGHT VIEW
Stay at Lhasa Manasarovar Hotel/ Lhasa Jardin Secret Hotel or equivalent
This morning we will tour the Mt Chokpori. There’s a special grotto temple at the East side of the mountain which is named “Zala Lupu”. Even though the temple has been exposed to many years of the elements, it is surprisingly in good conditions. There are 69 stone inscriptions and 66 stone statues in the cave. The grotto is extremely dim and it depends on the butter lamp for light. Next, you will visit Zha Ji Temple. She is one and the only temple of God of Fortune in Tibet. Although small, she is frequently visited by devotees and is one of the special temples in Tibet. At night, take a stroll at the Potala Palace Square and be awed by its mysterious charm. Meals: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER
