DAY 1
SINGAPORE – COPENHAGEN
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, also named the world's first “Bike City” by the International Cycling Union, UCI. Despite being lauded as one of Europe’s outstanding destinations for its cuisine, metro, cycling and Nordic style design, Copenhagen remains a relaxed, homely place for visitors.
Meals: (Meals On Board)
DAY 2
COPENHAGEN – KANGERLUSSUAQ
Upon arrival in Copenhagen, board your transfer flight to Kangerlussuaq, the gateway to Greenland. This town is the perfect place to venture into Greenland’s legendary ice cap, a mecca for travellers who wish to see a true wonder of the world. The ice cap covers approximately 82 percent of Greenland. Check into the hotel before you embark on an Excursion to the ice cap, the second largest ice sheet in the world. Begin your Artic adventure as you board a 4WD vehicle that will drive you through a terrain of endless whiteness, blue skies and deafening silence as you listen only to the sounds of your own breath before you approach the ice cap. Like a mysterious and looming beast, the ice cap sends cool winds rolling down from its highest peak into Kangerlussuaq. Watch as the glacier edge calves into river rapids below, leaving a jagged face of ice in its place. You will have the opportunity to spend some time walking on the vast ice sheet and if you are lucky, you may be able to spot wildlife like reindeer and musk oxen. Along the way, pass by the spectacular Russell glacier where you will be awed by its over 60-metre high vertical ice wall, yet another breath-taking sight to behold.
Meals: (Meals On Board/Dinner)
DAY 3
KANGERLUSSUAQ – NUUK
After breakfast, board a domestic flight to Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. It is a city of vitality, surrounded by immense nature and filled with vibrant Greenlanders leading fascinating lives of old traditions, modern twists, and diverse influences. The landmark of the city, the Sermitsiaq mountain, gives you an almost majestic welcome and the fantastic fjord system reflects the wild nature, which provides the most incredible setting for the small civilized metropolis. During the city tour, you will be introduced to a gamut of impressive and awe-inspiring attractions, including the Greenland National Museum, the beautiful cultural centre, Katauaq – whose façade is shaped like the northern light – and the charming old district with the statue of Hans Egede looking across the old colonial harbour, the fjord and the mountain range in the distance. Thereafter, you can spend time at leisure in the rest of the afternoon to explore the city on your own. At the end of the day, board the Sarfaq Ittuk where you will enjoy a leisure cruise in the next two days towards Ilulissat. The coasting vessel sails up and down along the west coast and is also popular among the Greenlanders. As the vessel lands in the coastal towns, experience the wonderful atmosphere of bustling activities and joyful reunions.
Meals: (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
DAY 4
NUUK – SISIMIUT
In the evening at around 6pm, the coastal ferry will arrive at the port of Sisimiut, the second largest city in Greenland with over 5,000 inhabitants. The atmosphere in the welcoming city is warm and intense, oozing of authentic Greenland. The colourful palette of the houses provides a stunning contrast to the undulating rocky area that lies on the outskirts of the city. Enjoy a guided tour of Sisimiut where you will pass by restaurants with signage boards listing the day’s fresh catch of fish and game, the town hall, the highest vantage point and the homely old district with its original colonial buildings. It will be a wonderful sojourn from the cruise. Thereafter, return to the coasting vessel where you will continue your journey northwards.
Meals: (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
DAY 5
SISIMIUT – ILULISSAT
Today, disembark from the cruise when it arrives in Ilulissat, the 3rd largest city of the country located on the shores of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Ilulissat Icefjord. As you approach Ilulissat, enjoy the magnificent sight of the icebergs at Disco Bay. Some are just large-scale lumps of ice while others are almost towering above you. Transfer to your hotel and go on a city tour to learn more about the history of the city. You will be introduced to the history and culture of the city as you pass by the museum, the old colonial houses, the beautiful and simple Zion's Church and the lively harbour. Thereafter, spend the rest of the day appreciating the iceberg-laden ocean and the otherworldly landscape.
Meals: (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
DAY 6
ILULISSAT
This morning, go on a guided walk at the town’s Old Settlement where you will see buildings belonging to the first Danish settlement. Then proceed to the abandoned settlement, Sermermiut to see Inuit relics and artifacts from 4,000 years ago and learn about the Inuit way of life and customs before the Europeans came to Greenland. During your hike, you will pass by the “Witches Gorge” which provides a sweeping view of the stunning ice sculptures of Icefjord. Later, you may spend the rest of the afternoon reveling in the beauty of the iceberg-laden ocean and exploring this quaint city. Learn more about the life of a Greenlandic Sled Dog in this city where thousands of dogs bask in the mountain rocks while waiting for the arrival of winter. This evening, embark on a unique Midnight Sun Sailing Cruise where you will sail among magnificent icebergs. With the midnight sun hanging low on the horizon, it can be difficult to tell the night from the day. Reflections from the soft, warm light give the icebergs and mountain tops an orange tinge, and the water becomes almost purple. Marvel at how the icebergs change from white and blue to shades of orange and red when struck by the Midnight Sun.
Meals: (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
DAY 7
ILULISSAT
This morning, you will spend the day at leisure. In the afternoon, you may want to join a whale watching safari at your own expense. During summer, if you are lucky, you may get to see the humpback whales, minke whales and fin whales. The whales swim around the entire Disco Bay throughout the summer, sometimes near the city, other times in the Ice Fjord or up north by the Crown Prince Islands.
Meals: (Breakfast)
DAY 8
ILULISSAT
Today, you will spend the day at leisure where you can explore Ilulissat and experience the atmosphere and life in the town. Watch fishermen at work at the bustling local marketplace where you will also see and shop for interesting fresh food produce and food products of Greenland. Explore the restaurants in Ilulissat to savour local specialties such as Greenlandic sushi and deep-fried salmonids as well as head to the cafes to enjoy freshly baked cakes and coffee or tea at your own expense. It will indeed be a sensory journey where you will get to see, hear, taste and feel Greenland!
Meals: (Breakfast)
DAY 9

Today, your memorable and magical journey around Greenland will come to an end. Proceed to take a flight to Copenhagen and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

COPENHAGEN
This morning, go on a sightseeing tour which includes a visit to Amalienborg Palace, which is the winter home of the Danish royal family. The sculpture has been set on a rock just off the shore since 1913 and is inspired by one of Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tales. See also the magnificent Gefion Fountain, the largest monument in Copenhagen. Drive around Nyhavn which means new harbour, one of the most famous entertainment streets in Copenhagen. Thereafter, you can spend the rest of the afternoon and the evening at leisure.
