Salt Lake City – Idaho Falls – Grand Teton National Park – Yellowstone National Park
Today, head to Bear Lake also known as the Caribbean of the Rockies thanks to its vivid turquoise blue waters, beautiful scenery and laidback atmosphere. Next up is Grand Teton National Park where you can admire the spectacular Teton mountain range that holds great historical and cultural significance to those who fought to protect it. The ecosystem here is pristine and rich with extraordinary wildlife and awe-inspiring nature. Stop at the historic Chapel of the Transfiguration first before heading to Menors Ferry and Maud Noble’s cabin. Then, see the beauty of the mountains come to life through the tales of America’s pioneers who crossed and conquered the Teton Mountains as you take a relaxing stroll around Jenny Lake’s crystal-clear alpine waters. Thereafter, proceed to the 1st national park in the United States, and possibly in the world, the iconic Yellowstone National Park, to explore the spouting geysers, bubbling hot springs and mud paint pots.

DAY 6 |
Yellowstone National Park – Gardiner
This morning, check out the major geothermal features of Yellowstone National Park. Walk through the hottest, oldest and most dynamic thermal area of the park, Norris Geyser Basin, followed by the only major thermal area located outside the Yellowstone caldera, Mammoth Hot Springs. Incidentally, Mammoth Hot Springs is also one of the best areas in the park for close-up views of elks and bisons. Then, proceed to visit Yellowstone Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in the park and the United States, measuring 2,356 metres above sea level and covering 341.8 kilometres with 226.9 kilometres of shoreline. Because of its size and depth, it is often frozen and can even become a tempestuous inland ocean from the strong winds in the area. Next, see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, approximately 250 to 350 metres deep and 457 to 1,219 metres wide, and marvel at the rushing waters of Yellowstone Falls, twice the height of Niagara Falls.
Meals: (Breakfast/Dinner)
|
DAY 7 |
Gardiner – Gillette
After breakfast, head to Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, a memorial for the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876 between the United States Seventh Calvary Regiment and the Native American Sioux and Cheyenne people. Meals: (Breakfast/Dinner)
|
DAY 8 |
Gillette – Mt Rushmore – Rapid City
Today, proceed to Devils Tower National Monument. Once hidden below the earth’s surface, thousands of years of erosion have stripped away the softer rock layers, revealing a magnificent and dramatic tower of rock that stands 386 metres above Belle Fourche River. Next, travel to South Dakota to see the iconic Mt Rushmore National Memorial that is one of the quintessential symbols of the United States today. This granite sculpture features four 18-metre sculptures of former United States presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln and tells the story of the country’s rich history. Thereafter, head to Crazy Horse Memorial, a mountain monument in the heart of Black Hills privately commissioned to honour the culture, tradition and living heritage of Native Americans. Currently under construction, the memorial is set to become the world’s largest sculpture once completed.
Meals: (Breakfast/Dinner)
|

Rapid City – Denver
It is time for some bear action, up close and personal, in Bear Country USA today. Experience intimate views of the largest collection of privately owned black bears in the world as well as other North American mammals like elks, reindeers, wolves and cougars here. Thereafter, make your way to Denver. Upon arrival, spend your evening at leisure.

As a final tribute to the city being the fastest growing major city in the United States, head to 17th Street, Denver’s financial district with towering skyscrapers set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
