Upon arrival, embark on a city tour to take in the sights of Oslo, one of the oldest capitals in Scandinavia and the largest city of Norway. See Royal Palace and Akershus Fortress, where you can take in the beauty of Oslo in the heart of the city.

OSLO – TROMSO - SVOLVAER

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Tromso. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour to discover the city’s architectural masterpiece, Arctic Cathedral. Take the Fjellheisen cable car up the mountains for a panoramic view of Tromso. Then, visit Kvaloya Aurora Camp. In the evening, savour a traditional Sami dinner in a lavvu, the Sami equivalent of a Native American teepee that still remains a powerful symbol of Sami culture today. After dinner, you will have time to explore the surroundings and perhaps see the Northern Lights if you are lucky. Transfer to the pier to board your overnight Hurtigruten cruise to Svolvaer. The vast night sky above the open waters will offer another opportunity to catch a glimpse of the mysterious Northern Lights.

SVOLVAER

Relax on board the cruise as you marvel at wild and untamed Norwegian nature and the stunning backdrop of snow-clad mountains reflecting the polar twilight. If you are lucky, you may be able to enjoy the spectacular Northern Lights displays that occasionally light up the night sky. Upon arrival at Svolvaer, disembark from the cruise ship and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, continue your search for the mysterious Aurora Borealis on a Northern Lights hunting bus tour.

SVOLVAER – LOFOTEN ISLANDS – NARVIK

Today, go on a scenic drive to discover the raw and unparalleled beauty of the Lofoten Islands, often known for its dramatic scenery. Enjoy the incredible scenery along the roads, which offers many impressive photo opportunities. Make a stop at Nusfjord, one of Norway’s oldest and best-preserved fishing village, scattered with delightful yellow and red fisherman cabins – traditionally known as “Rorbuer”. Continue on your drive to Henningsvaer, sometimes called “The Venice of Lofoten” for its artistic vibes. Here, marvel at the rich natural landscape of sharp mountain peaks with crisp clear waters. Then, cross over to Narvik for your overnight stay.

NARVIK – KIRUNA

After breakfast, transfer to the train station for a scenic Arctic Circle train ride across the Arctic landscape to Kiruna in Sweden. Proceed with an Icehotel tour to see the world-renowned hotel and an art exhibition made of ice and snow, painstakingly sculpted by builders and artists from the frozen Torne River. Do not forget to check out the ice bar and sip on a delicious cocktail or champagne served in glasses made of ice.

Today, travel across the border to Rovaniemi in Finland and visit Santa Claus Village. Meet Santa Claus in his lodge, have your picture taken and do not forget to send greetings to loved ones back home bearing the special stamp of the Santa Claus Village post office. Then, cross the Arctic Circle line which runs through Santa Claus Village and receive a certificate of crossing.

ROVANIEMI

Today, experience the thrill of a husky sled safari as you navigate through the Lappish wilderness. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. If time permits, you may wish to join a snowmobile safari, at your own expense, to explore the wild and dramatic surroundings. Alternatively, you may also wish to join a unique ice floating tour, at your own expense, in which you will be able to challenge yourself and dip into a frozen lake under the beautiful Arctic sky.

ROVANIEMI – HELSINKI

This morning, get acquainted with one of Lapland’s mainstays at a reindeer farm and hop on a reindeer sleigh ride across the enthralling Arctic landscape. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Helsinki, capital of Finland.

HELSINKI – SINGAPORE

Today, embark on a city tour and head to one of Helsinki’s landmarks, Sibelius Monument, created by Eila Hiltunen in honour of composer Jean Sibelius before visiting the extraordinary Temppeliaukio Church, constructed out of solid rock. Continue on to the lively Market Square and view Helsinki’s administrative centre, Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, Uspenski Cathedral, Government Palace and Sederholm House, the city’s oldest stone building. Spend the rest of the day at leisure before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
