MADRID
Situated at 2,000 feet above sea level, Madrid is Europe’s highest capital city. Housing a wealth of palaces, castles and museums, your guided tour will bring you to the old and new sections of Madrid such as Plaza Mayor, Cibeles Fountain and a photo stop at the impressive Royal Palace, where plush decorations, furnishings and frescoes will fascinate you. Later, proceed to visit the San Miguel Market, one of Madrid’s oldest and most beautiful markets, within the early 20th-century glass walls, the market is an inviting space strewn with tables. You can order tapas and sometimes more substantial plates at most of the counter-bars, and everything here from chocolate to caviar is as tempting as the market is alive.

DAY 3
MADRID – TOLEDO – MADRID
Start your day with a visit to Toledo, the former capital city of Spain and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Embark on a walking tour of Toledo old city, see the Church of Santo Tome, view Plaza del Ayuntamiento, which comprises of old government office buildings and the spectacular Gothic structure, Toledo Cathedral.

DAY 4
MADRID – SEGOVIA – SALAMANCA
Continue your journey with a visit to Segovia, a veritable treasure trove of historical, civil and religious monuments and a certified Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO. Your tour will include one of the city’s famous landmarks, the 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct that cuts right through the centre of the town. Its image has served as the mint mark on all coins produced in Segovia for over 400 years. Next, you will visit the majestic royal palace, Alcazar, which was the source of inspiration for Walt Disney’s Snow White castle in Disneyland Paris. This afternoon, taste a Segovian delicacy, roast suckling pig lunch or cochinillo in Spanish. After lunch, proceed to the city of Salamanca, also known as the golden city due to its majestic sandstone buildings. Pay your homage at University of Salamanca, the oldest university in Spain, the handsome arcaded Plaza Mayor, the heart of Salamanca and one of the most beautiful plazas in all of Spain, and the honey-coloured Salamanca Cathedral.

SALAMANCA – CACERES – SEVILLE
Today, continue your journey to the medieval town of Caceres, a 2,000-year-old city with traces of Roman, Arabic and Christian influences. It has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it is considered one of the three best-conserved monumental collections in Europe. Thereafter, travel to Seville, the 4th largest city in Spain. Not to be missed is Plaza de Espana with its 58 benches around the square representing the different provinces of Spain. For its sheer scale and grandeur, this massive building is by far one of Seville’s pride and glory. Next, relish the tranquility of Guadalquivir River on a relaxing 1-hour boat ride. As you cruise past iconic landmarks and historical monuments, listen to illuminating commentary that unravels the rich legacy of Seville.

DAY 6
SEVILLE – CORDOBA – GRANADA
This morning, drive towards the province of Andalusia, the genesis of Spain’s historically renowned cultural traditions of flamenco dancing and bull fighting. Upon arrival in Cordoba, visit the magnificent Mezquita, the marvellous mosque which was later converted into a cathedral after Cordoba was recaptured from the Muslim army by King Ferdinand III of Castile. Continue to Granada, capital of Spain’s last Moorish kingdom. The city lies at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the autonomous region of Andalusia and served as the Moorish capital of Spain until liberation in 1492. Embark on a city tour, view the Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where varying transformations come about as the light and water create different decorative effects on the special clay walls. And because this is Spain, you may choose to end the night with a fascinating flamenco performance at your own expense.

GRANADA – VALENCIA
After breakfast, travel to the 3rd-largest city of Spain, Valencia, which houses the City of the Arts and Science, known as the most integral tourist attraction in the said city. Be amazed by the sight of citrus plantations around the city. Next, view the Central Market, this huge iron, glass and tiled Art Nouveau building opened in 1928 is one of the largest and most attractive markets in Europe. Thereafter, visit the famous landmark, Lonja de la Seda, a Gothic-style building that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight, look forward to feasting on a mouth-watering Valencian specialty, a seafood paella dinner.

DAY 8
VALENCIA – BARCELONA
This morning, say “Hola Barcelona” to the 2nd-largest city in Spain in both size and population. Barcelona has a pleasant Mediterranean climate and stands on a plain that slopes gently down from Sierra de Collserola to the sea. View the city’s spectacular icon, Sagrada Familia, also known as Church of the Holy Family, a large Roman Catholic church which is a grand unfinished magnum opus by renowned Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi. Next, survey through Gaudi masterpieces such as Casa Mila, Casa Batllo and visit Guell Park, a famous park with Gaudi’s works of extraordinary imagination. In the afternoon, explore Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya, the largest square in Barcelona and home to some of Spain’s most famous streets lined with cafes, restaurants and kiosks. Along here, apart from the amazing acts of performing street artists, you can also watch the world go by at one of its cafes. Opt to have some churros and dip it into a cup of thick and piping hot chocolate that will define a whole new world of awesome for your palate. This evening, celebrate a wonderful trip spent with your travel companions at a farewell dinner.
