SINGAPORE – FRANKFURT

DAY 2
FRANKFURT – ALSFELD – WURZBURG
This morning, proceed for an city tour of Frankfurt to see the most important sights of this former coronation city of the German emperors. Starting with the old city, explore the medieval building Romer, one of the city’s most significant landmarks and also the famous old city hall. View the Imperial Cathedral, St Paul's Church, and the city's many Gothic and Renaissance buildings. Then, see the modern side of the city comprising the bustling European financial centre, shopping centre and much more. Next, travel to the medieval fairy tale of Alsfeld, located on the outskirts of where the story Little Red Riding Hood was based, and part of the German Fairy Tale Route. You will be transported to fairy tale land as you wander along the cobbled paths around the quaint timber-framed houses and other architectural gems like the world-famous Town Hall. Then proceed to stately Wurzburg, which is beautifully embedded in the valley of River Main surrounded by vineyard-covered hills

DAY 3
WURZBURG – BAMBERG – NUREMBERG
After breakfast, take a tour of Wurzburg city. It is hard to believe that 90 percent of the city was devastated in a 20-minute raid during World War II. In a miraculous rebuilding program, nearly every major structure has since been restored. Visit Wurzburg Residence and Court Gardens, one of Europe’s most renowned Baroque castles and registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the marvellously decorated palace interiors and take a closer look at the grand staircase, Imperial Hall and the Hall of Mirrors. Next, enjoy a wine-tasting session, where you may sample some of the region’s finest German wines. Continue to the picturesque Bamberg, the city with the largest historical center in Germany and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a guided walk along the cobblestone streets and marvel at the architecture of the buildings. Then, taste Bamberg’s famous specialty smoked beer, a type of beer with a distinctive smoke flavor imparted by using malted barley dried over an open flame. Thereafter, continue to Nuremberg where you will spend the night.

DAY 4
NUREMBERG – ROTHENBURG – STUTTGART
This morning, see the highlights of Nuremberg, starting with the distinguished medieval architecture in the Old Town, St Sebald Church, which was painstakingly reconstructed as a peace monument from the rubble of near-total wartime destruction, followed by Schoner Brunnen, a 14th century fountain that is 19 metres high and dedicated to the Holy Roman Empire. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Toy Museum, an important part of the city’s rich cultural heritage. From the "Dockenmacher" (doll makers) of medieval times to the outstanding tin figure manufacturers in the industrial age and the modern International Toy Fair, the museum has got it all covered. Continue your journey to the fabulous town of Rothenburg, a renowned key highlight along the Romantic Road, with ramparts, towers, cobblestone lanes, and 16th-century houses. Enjoy a walking tour around the well preserved medieval walls to see Marcus Tower, White Tower and the gorgeous Market Square. Visit St Jame's church, where the main attraction is the Heilige Blut Altar (Holy Blood Altar) carved by Tilman Riemenschneider, and said to contain a drop of Christ's blood. Thereafter, travel to Stuttgart, the 6th-largest city in Germany.

DAY 5
STUTTGART – TITISEE – KEMPTEN
Famous for its automotive industry, you should not leave Stuttgart without paying a visit to one of its very famous car museums. This morning, visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum to learn the history behind the Mercedes-Benz brand, the evolution of the auto industry and the ongoing innovation. Then, take a scenic drive through Black Forest, the largest nature park in Germany with its vast forests, grandiose mountains and mysterious lakes and valleys. Next, adjourn to the tourist resort township of Titisee, home to Germany’s largest cuckoo clock centre. Feast on an original Black Forest lunch comprising German pork knuckles and sausages before heading to the cuckoo clock centre to see the exquisite workmanship of the world-renowned clocks.

DAY 6
KEMPTEN – LINDERHOF – FUSSEN
After breakfast, visit the magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle, which served as a retreat for the famed composer and conductor, Richard Wagner. The palace has also appeared in several movies, and was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland Paris. Proceed to Linderhof, where you will visit Linderhof Palace, the smallest of the three palaces built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one which he lived to see completed. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive to Fussen, located at the foot of the German Alps.

DAY 7
FUSSEN – GARMISCH – PARTENKIRCHEN – ROSENHEIM
Today, travel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a market town in Bavaria and the host of the Winter Olympic Games in 1936. Spend the morning at leisure to revel in this spellbinding and endearing resort town. Alternatively, you may choose to take an optional journey to Germany’s highest mountain, Zugspitze at your own expense. From here, enjoy extraordinary views on clear days, over thousands of Bavarian, Austrian, Swiss and Italian Alps. In addition to the magnificent mountain scenery, the region features charming valleys, clean lakes and natural conservation areas set against an amazing panorama.

DAY 8
ROSENHEIM – PRIEN – MUNICH
After breakfast, drive to Prien am Chiemsee, nestled along the banks of Lake Chiemsee. Take a boat ride on the biggest and prettiest lake in Bavaria to Herreninsel. Enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful Herrenchiemsee New Palace, built by the famous King Ludwig II of Bavaria which is the largest of his palaces. In the afternoon, drive to the glorious city of Munich, the capital city of Bavaria, and the third largest city in Germany.

MUNICH – SINGAPORE
If time permits, of course there is always last-minute shopping before bidding Auf Wiedersehen to Munich as you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
