| DAY 1 |
Arrival - Kuching - Santubong Wildlife Cruise
Upon arrival at Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak and meet our representative and transfer to hotel by seat-in-coach. Later that afternoon, embark on exciting Santubong Wildlife Cruise which takes you along the rivers of the Santubong Peninsular, offering you a chance to see some of Sarawak’s fascinating wildlife. The cruise criss-crosses the mouth of the Santubong River where the rare Irrawaddy dolphins are often be seen swimming and diving. Your boat then cruises along the mangrove river banks in search of the big nose Proboscis monkeys. As dusk falls, we will watch the fire-flies moving among the branches of the mangroves and we might even see crocodiles, which can be easily spotted using powerful torches which reflect their eye shine.
Note: Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, however our local tour operator do enjoy a high success rate and the tour do not operate during rainy weather. For late arrivals, the Santubong Wildlife Cruise will be conducted on the 3rd day of the tour. |

Anah Rais Long House - Semmonggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre
This morning, visit Anah Rais longhouse, which stands on the same site where it was built 200 years ago. It has a unique architecture, built mainly of bamboo, wood and leaves. The Bidayuh or Land Dayaks are very warm and gentle people, well known for their hospitality and are reputed to be the best makers of tuak or rice wine. Next, visit Semonggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, which provides a rare opportunity to be at close encounter with the semi-wild orang utan, who have been rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the surrounding forest reserve. The rehabilitated animals roam freely in the rainforest and often return to the centre at feeding times.
