DAY 1
Airport – Kandy (Meals – L/D)
Arrive in Sri Lanka. Clients will be met by representatives of Jetwing Travels & move to Kandy.

Lunch at a Restaurant
En-route visit *Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage App. 55 miles from Colombo, off Colombo- Kandy road is Pinnawala, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded Elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 40 now, including baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as the babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programme. The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930 hrs – 1000 hrs & 1330 – 1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000 – 1030 hrs & 1400 – 1430 hrs when all the Elephants are taken to the river close by.

Continue to Kandy, visiting a *Spice Garden in Mawanella to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.

Sightseeing in *Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum. Kandy the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Visit *Meera Makkam Mosque.

DAY 2
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (Meals – B/L/D)
Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya

(Optional: US$ 15 per person) *Scenic Train: The very first steam trains were running in Sri Lanka to bring Tea, the greatest commercial export of the colonial Ceylon, to Colombo. Major Thomas Skinner was instrumental in setting trains up and he describes in his book “Fifty years in Ceylon” how he had to convince the British colonial government to spend approximately GBP 800,000/- to set up the network of railway lines, bridges/aqueducts, for Trains, today it stands as one of the most scenic journeys to be done on rail in the world

Visiting “Tea experience”, which involves a visit a plantation to observe firsthand the process, starting from the plucking field where it all begins with the picking of “two leaves and a bud” to the factory where the processing begins. Originally introduced to the island around 1850 by the British, Ceylon Tea is world famous for its high quality and has remained a major contributor to the island’s economy for generations. Currently, Sri Lanka is one of largest exporter of tea worldwide.

Sightseeing in *Nuwara Eliya The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this Park. Visit *Lake Gregory is one of the significant tourist attractions in Nuwara Eliya. With recent up liftmen in Nuwara Eliya area many recreation facilities introduced around the Gregory lake area. You can buy a ticket and visit the Lake Park and enjoy your evening by the lake. Need a boat ride…. They are there for you to offer a ride to get an unforgettable experience. Swan Boats are there to hire if you need a ride on your own.

DAY 3
Nuwara Eliya - Beruwela (Meals – B/L/D)
Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed to Colombo. Visit St Clair’s water fall & Devon Water Falls

En-route stop at *Kitulgala this is the place where the famous “Bridge on the River Kwai” film was made. En route Witness the sensuous St. Claris & divine Devon waterfalls. The journey is a truly remarkable. You are offered a Scenic drive and totally different landscape from the City of Nuwara Eliya.

Beruwela – Galle - Beruwela (Meals – B/L/D)

Mirissa is the best place to start your whale and dolphin watching tour in Sri Lanka. In warm Indian ocean you can see Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, sometimes Killer whales, and Common dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso's dolphins and Striped dolphins. Sometimes you can see turtles and various fish species, for example Bluefin tuna and flying fish.

Return to Hotel, Afternoon visit *Ketchimalai Mosque – High on a rock in Beruwela, tall, white and towering, surrounded by coconut fronds, stands Ketchimalai Mosque. The ancient historic site has been a place of reflection and prayer for centuries, calling unto it every year, scores of pilgrims from all over island. As Muslims commence the holy month of Ramadan, the Nation took a trip to the mosque, to learn more of its history and discover intimately, the awe-inspiring beauty of the religious site.

Continue to Galle, *Galle - Sri Lanka’s most historically interesting town is Galle. It was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbour. Stroll around the lighthouse and harbour or visit the old town where you can see the traditional lace makers and wood carvers and purchase some the finest souvenirs. Visit *The Dutch Fort - The South Coast’s major city is Galle, whose oldest landmark is the massive Portuguese and Dutch Fort which is a “World Heritage Site” in which the central city is contained. But the city may be much older. Some scholars believe it to be the “Tarshish” of the Old Testament, to which King Solomon sent his merchant vessels, and to which Jonah fled from the Lord.

Also showing it's solidarity with standing the test of time, these features attract many businessman and tourists as well to this MASJID. Thereafter visit the oldest protestant church in Sri Lanka *Wolvendaal Church, Thereafter driving through the busy Pettah Markets to visit *The Old Town Hall, Which is now a Museum. After enjoying a refreshing *King Coconut make a stop at the Central Bank Currency Museum *The Centre Point. Hidden with-in the city is the actual *Prison Cell of the Last King of Sri Lanka King Sri Vickrama Rajasingha. Your last stop is *The Galle Buck Lighthouse which is one of Colombo’s most picturesque locations.

Start *Shopping in Colombo, Visit ODEL, House of Fashion, Arcade Independence square, Race Course, and Beverly Street, visit bargain market in Colombo Pettah.
