DAY 1
Arrive in Incheon Airport
Upon arrival in Incheon Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy your day at leisure.
DAY 2
Seoul - Seoraksan (Breakfast / Lunch: Ginseng Chicken Soup / Dinner: Stir-fried Chicken)
Morning after breakfast, visit Gyeongbokgung was the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty. National Folk Museum of Korea is a national museum of South Korea, located within the grounds of the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and uses replicas of historical objects to illustrate the history of traditional life of the Korean people. After that, proceed to visit Presidential Sarangchae and Cheonggyecheon modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul. The massive urban renewal project is on the site of a stream that flowed before the rapid post-war economic development caused it to be covered by transportation infrastructure. Later in the day, proceed to Nami Island – an oasis for culture and leisure where humanity and nature harmonizes. After a short 5-min ferry ride, be greeted by the vast greenery and scenic view of wild flowers. Experience the local life at Daepohang Fish Market where many raw fish restaurants and dried fish shops. This has become a popular tourist spot for those in search for the freshest raw fish restaurants!
DAY 3
Seoraksan – Chuncheon – Seoul (Breakfast / Lunch: Squid + Pork Bulgogi / Dinner: Korean Steamboat + Bibimbap)
After breakfast, you’ll visit the highest mountain in the Taebaek Mountain Range – Seoraksan (Sinheungsa + The Great Unification Buddha Tongil Daebul. It is located in a national park near the city of Sokcho. The Daechongbong Peak of Seoraksan reaches 1,708 meters in height! The Taebaek mountain chain is often considered as the backbone of the Korean peninsula. Sinheungsa is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, situated on the slopes of Seoraksan in Sokcho, Gangwon Province. The Great Unification Buddha, a 14.6meter gilt-bronze Buddha statue, called “Tongil Daebul” sits atop a 4.3meter pedestral. This statue represents the crucial wish of the Korean people for the reunification of the divided country. Move on to the Alive Museum + Maze Garden – the first-ever museum to introduce a brand new concept of ‘Optical Illusion Art’ and ‘Interactive Art’ to Korea. Get your hands on by trying to produce your own amusing artworks using your natural facial expressions and reactions. Experience the marine culture at the North Korea submarine and Retired Vessel Display.
DAY 4
Seoul (Breakfast / Lunch: Korean Cuisine / Dinner: Korean Andong Jjimdak)
After breakfast, get your hands as you learn the secrets of Kimchi and fit into the stunning Hanboks! Put on a smart apron, clean gloves and a big smile as you start making Kimchi! Get your cameras ready! You’ll also be able to choose the Hanbok you like with a wide range of accessories like hats, hairpins and more to make your costume stand out. Strike your best pose and boast it on Instagram. Thereafter, you’ll experience the tension atmosphere at the DMZ Observation Deck, Freedom Bridge and Windmill Park, which serves as a buffer zone established on 27 July 1953. The DMZ vividly captures the blood and tears of the Korean War. Moving on, you’ll visit Cheonggyecheon which existed only as a neglected waterway hidden by an overpass. Today, it has become a haven of natural beauty in the midst of the hustle and bustle of city life. Continue your journey to Dongdaemun Design Plaza – a major urban development landmark. The landmark is the centerpiece of South Korea’s fashion hub and tourist destination.
DAY 5
Seoul (Breakfast / Lunch: Gamjatang / Dinner: Korean Cuisine)
After breakfast, proceed to Ginseng Shop, Cosmetic Shop and Cordyceps Shop. After shopping, proceed to N Seoul Tower + Lock Tower + Octagonal Pavilion (admission fees apply). Does this location ring a bell? This was the shooting location for the famous K-drama “My Love from The Star”. Mt. Samsan is an emerging must-see for people of all ages! Along the ground terrace attached to the tower, hundreds of locks are hanging, showing the eternal love of their owners. The locks hanging on the fences with the keys thrown away are meant to ensure sweethearts’ vows to never separate are kept. Bukchon Hanok Village is surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. The village is home to hundreds of traditional houses that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. Many of these hanoks now operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses. Experience, learn and immerse yourselves in the traditional Korean culture. Have a shopping spree at Myeongdong Shopping Street – ranging from international luxury brands to homegrown cosmetic shops. There are also casual eateries around. At times, there are shows mixing folk music and drama staged at Myeongdong Nanta Theatre (fees apply). Visit the SM Duty Free which serves as a landmark to lead duty free shopping culture – housing 490 brands and about 60,000 items.
DAY 6
Seoul – Incheon Airport (Breakfast)
After breakfast, proceed to Korean Produce Shop for shopping. We will pass by Incheon Bridge for your flight back home.
