Arrival at Ho Chi Minh City (Dinner)
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for check-in. Tonight’s dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant.
(Fun fact: Ho Chi Minh City is still called Saigon by many locals.) |
| DAY 2 |
Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Today, after breakfast, you will leave Ho Chi Minh City for the Cu Chi Tunnels. Here, you will have the opportunity to witness how rice paper are being made and explore the amazing labyrinth of tunnels used by the guerrillas during the war. Having explored the Cu Chi Tunnels, you will return to Ho Chi Minh City and have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will embark on a half day city tour. The first stop of the day is the War Museum. The War Museum primarily contains exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War and is a major tourist attraction. Next, you will visit the Reunification Palace, the former workplace of the President of South Vietnam, or better known as the Independence Palace. In addition, you will also visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the spiritual and cultural crucible of the French presence in the Orient and the General Post Office, the ancient and French colonial architecture style building. The final stop of the day will be the Ben Thanh market which is always loaded with a variety of consumer goods such as cakes and candies, food and foodstuff and particularly high-quality fruit and vegetables. After that, head for dinner at a local restaurant.

Today, you will have some leisure time before your transfer back to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.
