DAY 1

Singapore – Paro – Thimphu sightseeing
Your flight to Paro will provide you a wonderful experience with a view of various high snow capped
mountains of Bhutan and Mt. Everest on a clear day. Upon arrival at Paro, our representative from Bhutan Travel Adventures will receive you at the Airport. Drive to Thimphu for 1 hour. After checking in at the hotel you could have rest for a while. After lunch if it falls on the working days, visit the school of Arts and Crafts which was established to preserve and promote our age old practice. The students here are taught 13 different traditional arts and crafts. Visit the folk Heritage museum, to see the house of living traditions in some of the rural areas or the living house in olden days. Drive to Buddha point to see the world’s largest statue of the Sykhamuni Buddha. Thimphu city is also best viewed from the Buddha point. And later walk around the city to see the life of urban Bhutan or the capital city. Overnight halt stay at the hotel, Hotel Bhutan (newhotel) or Hotel Galingkha . |
DAY 2

Thimphu day hike & sightseeing
After breakfast drive for half an hour (12 km) towards north of Thimphu valley and then you will have to
hike for almost 2 hours to and fro. Chari Monastery (optional hike): You can hike to Chari Monastery which is just next to Tango Monastery. Chari Monastery was built in 1620 by our historical leader Lama Zhabdrung Nawang Namgyel as a preparatory to keep his father’s ashes, and later he also lived here before he started building Dzongs all over Bhutan. The view is fascinating from Chari monastery. Hike downhill after visiting the monastery and then drive to Thimphu city for your lunch. After lunch, you will visit the mini zoo to see the Takins which is our national animals. In the evening you will visit the Memorial Stupa which was built by queen mother in 1974 as memory of our 3rd king. You will find many people circumambulating and chanting at the Memorial Stupa. Later in the evening, you will attend the compliment cultural program which replicates the Bhutan festivals. In the evening you can visit the Handicrafts and shops if you are interested in souvenir shopping. Overnight in same hotel in Thimphu. |
DAY 3

Thimphu – Paro sightseeing
After your breakfast drive to Paro and visit Kyichu monastery dating back to the 7th Century. This is one
of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan built by Tibetan king Songtshen Gempo to pin down the ogress. You will then visit the National Museum to see our art and artifacts. Visit the Ringpung Dzong just below the museum. Overnight halt stay at the hotel, Tashi Namgay Resort or Mandala Resort in Paro. |
DAY 4

Paro Tiger’s Nest hike
After breakfast drive to Taktshang base to begin your hike uphill. Walking time will be around 4 hours
for a round trip. Taktshang monastery is perched on the face of a cliff 800 Mts, above the Paro valley. It is a memorable spiritual journey. It was here that the great Tantric master, Guru Padmasambhava flew in from Tibet on the back of a flying tigress to propagate his teachings in Bhutan. Have lunch at the cafeteria. And then you will return back to your hotel in the evening. Overnight halt stay at the same hotel in Paro. |

Paro – Singapore
Our guide and driver will drop you at the airport for your flight departure to Singapore.
