GUANGZHOU - (APPROX 3 HRS DRIVE) YANGJIANG

After breakfast, let take a visit to Huangpu Ancient Port is a witness of the prosperity and flourish of Guangzhou's Marine Silk Road. Since Song Dynasty (960~1279), It has played an important role in trading with foreign countries. Continue it; visit to great historic significance, Shamian Island. From the Song and the Qing Dynasty, it served as an important port for Guangzhou's foreign trade. It became a strategic point for city defense during the second Opium Wars (1856-1860). In 1859, the territory was divided into two concessions, given to France and United Kingdom. You will see the famous French Catholic Church, British Christian Church and HSBC, British consulate; French consulate buildings stand on this island. After lunch, coach ride to Yangjiang Da’ao Fishing Village which is an ancient fishing port long time ago serving as the main port of the maritime silk road of Ancient South China and famous for its business prosperity, and such ancient style and features remains till today and are fully presented by the numerous relics there. After dinner, check in hotel for a good rest!

YANGJIANG - (APPROX 3 HRS DRIVE) ZHANGJIANG

Today we will proceed to Hailing Island in the southwestern part of the Yangjiang has been crowned as the "Oriental Hawaii." Take visit Ten Miles Silver Beach across one mountain is like a silver dragon lying in the Hailing Island, is the rare bathing beach all over the world, all who visit here will be amazing for this. Continue it; visit Maritime Silk Road Museum was built to hold 300,000 artifacts as well as having the facilities necessary to house pieces of shipwrecks in water tanks. The main exhibition is the Nanhai 1 shipwreck, a wooden vessel which sank just off Hailing Island at the end of the 10th century. It is housed in the Crystal Palace in a water tank, one of main features for the museum which is the only museum in Asia with these facilities for underwater display. After lunch, coach ride to Zhanjiang has a very long history and it was one of the earliest starting points on the Marine Silk Road and now it is a rapidly developing modern city. Take a visit to Chikan District, there are many historical stone dogs behind the museum that are a must see. Inside is the story of how the Zhanjiang people defeated the tyrannical French.

ZHANJIANG

After breakfast, visit to Huguang Yan Lake (electric train), the typical maar lake in China and is one of the best preserved crater lakes in China and the world. With the volcano lake area totaling 4.7 square kilometer has won four national levels laurel crown and confirmed by the UNESCO as a world geological park in September of 2006. Back to Zhanjiang City and pass by Guangdong Ocean University and also out view the landmark of city. Continue it; take the cruise tour around Zhanjiang Naval Port at your own expenses. This is a major modern port serving southern China, usable by ships of up to 50,000 tons. Because Zhanjiang serves as headquarter of a fleet, the highlight of this harbor boat cruise tour was an exhibition of a fleet of warship. After that, let visit the Xiashan French Street and also one of the eight views in Zhanjiang, Guanhailang where you can see many people like to enjoy sea view, family fun like fly kite, play sand at here. Today, coach ride to Xuwen County is the southernmost county of Guangdong Province. Let visit Dahan Sandun tourist area where is the Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Point. After lunch, let visit one of the seven biggest salt fields in Guadong Province, Xuwen Salt Field. Different drying time of the salt showing different colors and makes it a unique scenic point. Continue it, proceed to Xuwen Light House Point located at the southernmost end of mainland China, which has divided the Beibu Gulf and Qiongzhou Strait. Surround by Xuwen Light House Point, there is concentrated distribution of coral reef of 85 species covering the area which is the largest, the most complete and most well-preserved in China’s continental shelf of shallow water. Let visit Xuwen Antarctic Village and send a greeting postcard (each postcard+ stamp + postmark) from southernmost tip of China at your own expenses. Late evening, let enjoy Southernmost Tip Sunset in China.

After breakfast, visit to Dengyun Tower which is landmark of Xuwen and experience Leizhou opera one of the four great Han opera styles performed in Guangdong province. After that, visit to Xuwen Pearl Farm experience DIY to open pearl shell (each person can take away one of the pearl). Enroute, let stop down and take a view of 800 acres of “Guandong First Field”, Leizhou Paddy Field. After lunch, walk around Leizhou West Lake and out view the Sanyuan Tower retrace the footsteps of celebrities and upright officials in the city’s history. Lastly coach ride to Maoming, after dinner check in hotel for a good rest!

This evening, you will to enjoy a cruise ride of Pearl River for the night scenery at your own expense.
