DAY 1
SINGAPORE / PARO / THIMPHU (Lunch / Dinner)

Built in honour of the late King Jigme Dori Wangchuk.
* Tashichhodzong (Thimphu Dzong) - The “fortress of the glorious religion” was initially constructed in
1641 and restored by the 3rd King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the 1960s. Tashichhodzong houses some
ministries, His Majesty’s secretariat, and the central monk body.
* Visit : Archery Ground
Archery is the national sport of Bhutan and also a way of socialization, communication, and development of relations between people. Emotions run high during competitions, and support for archers and ridicule or distraction of opponents can become as violent as in other countries' sporting events.
* View : Takin Enclosure
On the way to the viewpoint over Thimphu is Takin Enclosure, the home of Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin, a strange looking beast.

DAY 2
THIMPHU (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
* View : Buddha Point
Make a stop at Buddha Point, located at Kuensel Phodrang with its 169ft bronze statue of Buddha Dordenma, Vajra Throne Buddha symbolising indestructibility
* Visit : Simply Bhutan Museum
A living museum and a photo studio with a mission to engage and empower youth entrepreneurs through preservation, promotion and showcasing of Bhutanese tradition and cultural diversity
* Visit : Institute of Zorig Chusum
The Institute of Zorig Chusum, commonly known as the Painting School or the School of the Thirteen Arts, the Institute offers you a glimpse of novices learning 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. It is a hands-on trip for you. Enjoy few moments with future artists of the country.
Note : Institute of Zorig Chusum is close for school vacation from July 01 - 31 and December 20 - mid February

Learn about Bhutan's living national art of weaving at the weaving centre. Observe the entire process of producing handmade paper at the Paper Making Factory.

DAY 3
THIMPHU / PUNAKHA (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
* Visit : Punakha Dzong
Cross the Dochu-la pass into Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan. Once you cross the pass, you wind down into a warm fertile valley and meander along a gently flowing aquamarine river that leads you to the Punakha Dzong, the second dzong built in Bhutan. The beautiful Dochula Pass at 3,050m high, with its 108 Bhutanese stupas (Druk Wangyal Chortens) was built to commemorate victory over the Indian militants and to liberate the souls of the lives lost. Placed strategically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu Rivers is the Punakha Dzong. Damaged over the centuries by 4 catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the dzong has been fully restored in the recent years. At the dzong enrich your trip with the opportunity to see the highest standards in woodwork. Do not miss the massive Kuenray, the Coronation Hall of all Bhutanese kings, the Dzongchung at the entrance to the dzong and the cantilever bridge over the Mochu that has been recently renovated.
DAY 4
PUNAKHA / GANGTEY / PUNAKHA (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
* Drive pass Valley of Phobjikha
The Valley is well known as the winter home of the Black necked crane. Bhutan is home to around 600 black necked craned with Phobjikha being one of the popular places that the birds migrate to in the winter months from the Tibetan plateau. The elegant and shy birds can be observed from early November to end of March.
* Visit : Gantey Gompan
Situated south of the road and east of Wengue Phodrang is Gantey Gompa, an old monastery dating back to the 17th century.
* Visit : Black Necked Crane Information Centre
Black Necked Crane Information Centre has informative displays about the cranes and the valley environment. You can use the center’s powerful spotting scopes and check what you see against its pamphlet ‘Field Guide to Crane behavior’.

DAY 5
PUNAKHA / PARO (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
* Visit : Ringpung Dzong or Paro Dzong
Explore the Ringpung Dzong or Paro Dzong which the locals call the ‘fortress of a heap of jewels.’ Built in 1646, the dzong stands on a hill above Paro Township. Experience a walk up a paved stone path running alongside the imposing outer walls. Immediately above Ringpung Dzong is Paro Ta Dzong (National Museum), originally built as a watch tower. In 1968, it was inaugurated as the first national Museum and now holds a fascinating collection of art, relics, religious thangkha paints etc.
DAY 6
PARO (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
* Visit : Tiger’s Nest, Taktsang Monastery
Are you ready? You will be making the hike up to 1 of the key highlights in Bhutan today! Often called the Tiger’s Nest, Taktsang Monastery perched on the cliffs, has awestruck many a visitor. “Trip to Bhutan is never complete without climbing to Taktsang”, says one tourist. Indeed it’s true as the journey there fills you with spiritual bliss. For those not choosing the spiritual side it is the dramatic, artistically built monument that becomes a hiker’s delight. Take a trip to this dramatically set Buddhist relic hanging from a cliff. According to legends, it is believed that Guru Rinpochhe flew to this location from Tibet on the back of a Tigress (his consort Yeshey Tshogyal) and meditated in 1 of the caves. Guru Rinpochhe performed meditation and emerged in 8 manifestations and the place became holy, thus gaining the name Tiger's Nest.
