Enjoy a spot of shopping at the market and be sure to check out crabs (kani), salmon eggs (ikura) and sea urchin (uni). * Visit - Goryokaku Park With a star shaped fort that is a rare sight throughout the world ; this area was the settling of the Battle of Hakodate in the late 19th century * Photo - Mt Yotei An active volcano called “Ezo Fuji” because it resembles the famous Mount Fuji * Visit - Mt Yotei Spring Water One of 100 remarkable waters in Japan. For dessert lovers, Otaru is filled with cake shops, home to some of Hokkaido’s most prominent, ranging from boutique pâtissiers specializing in hand-made cakes to nationally-famous brands! * Visit - Tanaka Sake Brewery The most famous local sake brewery in Otaru! The building is designated as a historical architecture by Otaru city which was built in 1905, Meiji era. * Visit - Hokkaido Shrine
Built in 1869 when the development of Hokkaido first started. People visit here to receive blessing when their children reach a certain age. * Visit - Shiroi Koibito Park This is where the well-known Hokkaido confectionery is produced. * Pass by - Odori Park & Clock Tower Odori Park is the main street in the center of Sapporo, separating the city into north and south whereas the Clock Tower within the park is the symbol of Sapporo. * Shop - Tanuki Koji A huge attraction for tourists and locals alike, this crowded shopping arcade has huge mix of shops ranging from traditional kimono shops to duty free shops and drugstores. * Seasonal Bonus - Snowmobile Ride Enjoy a 10 mins introductory snowmobile ride on fine powder snow from mid December to March, subject to changes.
