View : Heroes’ Square, Millennium Monument Hero Square is the largest square in Budapest. The Millennium Monument in the middle of the square was erected to commemorate the 1000 year old history of the Magyars. Visit : Fisherman’s Bastion Built between 1895 and 1902, the Neo Romanesque Fisherman’s Bastion occupies a portion of the old walls of Buda Castle defended in the Middle Ages by the guild of fishermen. Its towers and terraces afford a breathtaking view over the city.
