Singapore - Madrid

Upon arrival in Madrid, transfer to hotel. Enjoy a leisure day in Madrid. Overnight in Madrid or a nearby city.

Madrid - Zaragoza (320km) (B)

Our tour starts at the Spanish capital of Madrid, where we visit the Tbilisi Fountain, Columbus Memorial Plaza, as well as the University and Grand Palace* built by the Spanish Royal Family, which shows the magnificent and splendid former empire and its historical grandeur. Pay attention to the small square tiles placed on the pavement on the Puerta del Sol, which are common in the area. In Puerta, take the opportunity to shop for specialty leather goods, clothing and traditional Spanish souvenirs in Spain. In the afternoon, we leave Madrid and continue on to Zaragoza. Overnight in Zaragoza or a nearby city.

Zaragoza - Barcelona (300km) (B)

In the morning, we head to the Spanish coastal city of Barcelona. Upon arrival, we will visit the Barcelona Columbus Monument and the Sagrada Família Church* by the Spanish Master Artist, Gaudi. Gaudi’s unique colourful, fairytale decoration can be seen throughout the city. Afterwards, we visit the Olympic Stadium where the 1992 Olympic Games were held. The remaining time is spent in the bustling Plaza Catalonia, where we will have free time for shopping. Overnight in Barcelona or a nearby city.

Barcelona - Valencia - Alicante (525km) (B)

We leave Barcelona for Spain's third largest city, Valencia. Upon arrival, we will tour the old city square, Torres de Serranos (old city gates) and Valencia Cathedral, where an exact copy of the Holy Grail is on permanent display. Overnight in Alicante or a nearby city.

Alicante - Granada - Malaga (485km) (B)

This morning, we depart for the city of Granada on the plateau of the Andalusia province. Upon arrival, we visit the ruins of civilization and culture, Alhambra* which is also known as the Red Palace. Then, we proceed to Costa del Sol (Sunny Coast area) and arrive in the largest city along the coast of Malaga. This city is the birthplace of the famous Spanish Painter, Pablo Picasso. The Costa del Sol is also famous for its golden sandy beaches and secluded villas. Overnight in Malaga or a nearby city. Malaga - Seville (210km) (B)

We continue our journey towards the city of Seville, the capital of Andalusia. It is the setting for the "Carmen" Opera, and also hosted the World's Fair in 1992. Upon arrival, we visit Cathedral of Seville, which is the burial place of the king's mausoleum for over a century as well as the location of the tomb of Christopher Columbus. From there onwards, we see the Alcazar Castle*, a royal palace that was originally a Moorish fort. It is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, and it was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Afterwards, we visit Torre del Oro (Gold Tower) and Mary Luisa Park, where Plaza de España (Spain Square) is located. Seville - Lisbon (460km) (B)

In the morning, we depart for Portuguese Lisbon, and are expected to arrive in the afternoon. Lisbon, the most western point of continental Europe displays the voluminous Atlantic surrounded by endless scenery. You can choose to buy the remembrance certificate to prove once footstep on the west point as it will be a memorable souvenir to keep. Lisbon is Portugal’s symbol to its adventurous and pioneering past, crossing the seas in discovery of the new world. Those interested can sample authentic Portuguese custard tarts at the century-old bakery, and decide whether they are as good as in Macao. Overnight in Lisbon or a nearby city. (You can choose to attend a Fado Musical Show* – ‘Fado’ is Portugal’s traditional folk music.)

Lisbon - Toledo - Madrid (675km) (B)

We drive back to Madrid via Toledo and catch a breath-taking view of Spain and its rich palette of colours in natural surroundings and arrive back in Madrid. Overnight in Madrid or a nearby city.

Madrid - Singapore

Depart from Madrid and board the flight back to Singapore.
