Arrival at Taipei

Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, there will be a transfer provided to bring you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free and easy and at your own leisure.

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall – Jiufen Old Street – Jiaoxi Street (Breakfast/Dinner)

The tour kicks off at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a prominent landmark erected in memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China. This will be followed by a tour to the National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine, a structure built to honour the fallen Kuomintang soldiers after the Chinese Civil War. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Jiufen Old Street to catch a glimpse of the setting of Hayao Miyazaki's Academy Award winning “Spirited Away” and its iconic red lanterns. Among the many treats and souvenirs to be enjoyed, be sure to try the chewy taro, sweet potato balls and fish balls that Jiufen is widely acclaimed for! This will be followed by a trip to Mao’s House. In the evening, pass through the Hsuehshan Tunnel for Jiaoxi Street.

PPingxi Old Street – Addiction Aquatic Seafood Street – Ningxia Night Market (Breakfast)

After breakfast, depart for Ping Xi Old Street, a unique street that is built on a hill with a train track winding through the string of shops selling bouts of local food and gifts. Here, visitors may wish to send off blessings (own expense) on sky. On your way to Addiction Aquatic Seafood Street for lunch, you will bypass the mighty Taipei 101. Then, proceed to Chiang Kai-shek Shilin Residence Garden before ending the night off with a visit to Tienlu Handicraft Centre and heading to Ningxia Night Market for a taste of Taiwan’s local delicacies.
