Upon your arrival to the airport, be welcomed by your tour guide and be transferred to your hotel. Make some time after dinner to proceed to the famous Night Market, to find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Head to your hotel in Luang Prabang to rest.

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple WatSene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, representing classical Laotian architecture. Then, board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, and enjoy a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two inked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. During which, we will stop to enjoy the rice wine: a local specialty produced at the village of Ban Xang Hai. After which, take a trip back to Luang Prabang City to take a short drive to Ban Phanom: a village well known for its hand weaving. We would also take some time to visit places such as Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek that are well known for its silk weavings and Saa (jute) papermaking.

Feel adventurous as you climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa (relic). In addition, enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. Head to your hotel at Luang Prabang for the night.

Luang Prabang – Khuangsi Waterfall (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Take the opportunity to have an early start to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents; This is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation to preserve this ritual. After which, visit the Phousi Market, where you will see diverse offerings such as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpetre among the chickens, vegetables and hill tribe weavings.

After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts with traditional crafts Laos is known for. Enjoy a some sightseeing at the city’s oldest temple representing classic Laotian architecture. Afterwards, visit the impressive stupa in Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

After lunch, visit the local villages and have a glimpse of the minority groups at the following villages: Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou, a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, a Khmu village. Be taken to the beautiful Khuan Si Waterfall to cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or a walk along the forest trails. Return to the city afterwards, to admire the sunset at Watthabath Tai. Take in the city sights and head to your hotel to rest for the night.
