Well known for oil tycoons, rich ranchers, a famous soap opera and of course their football team, the Dallas Cowboys there’s so much to see, but the show must go on … so get your boots on as we’re headed for Austin!

It’s change of scene here, with a laid back vibe, delicious BBQ & of course, the live music capital of the world, baby! No need to rush in, we have two days to explore this vibrant city to really get local. We’ll let you get your bearings first though with a few of the city’s sights, before getting to know the squad over an included Texan BBQ feast…because we can.

No trip would be complete without shopping for cowboy boots on South Congress, stuffing yourself with even more lip smackin’ BBQ or taking things down a notch at Barton Springs pool. And it goes without saying that music is on the cards tonight, so we’ll head to one of our fave local spots, Sixth St, to take in the live vibes and toe tapping. Let’s do this!

Austin to San Antonio

With music no doubt ringing in your ears, and stuffed with more BBQ than you ever thought possible, we make tracks to San Antonio home of the Battle of the Alamo.

Let us paint a picture of this town known for its epic blend of Spanish, Mexican & American culture. Full of history, it’s the perfect place for exploring. We’ll take on the city by foot, following our noses around Market Square, the largest Mexican Market outside of Mexico, then onto San Fernando Cathedral & the Alamo. This afternoon stroll along the River Walk with shops & restaurants couldn’t be a better place to grab a bite & a brew & chill.

This city will romance you with its soul and have you swooning over its spiritual heart - the French Quarter. The main drag culminates at Jackson Square with the iconic wrought iron balconies lining the streets. You’ll be hard pressed to pick which you find more enchanting, the European/Caribbean fusion food or the non-stop jazz festival vibe. No matter which, tonight we turn up the volume and hit Bourbon Street to sample the live music and bar culture that New Orleans has to offer, it’s the birthplace of jazz after all.

New Orleans

With a full day to yourself, it's time to get fully immersed in everything New Orleans. Start out at Cafe Du Monde for a tasty beignet, and pick up some treasures at the French Market if you're feeling like dropping some dollar. This diverse city has so much going on; visit the Garden District, spend a few hours in the soul kitchens and jazz clubs of the French Quarter or even hang out in Jackson Square with the musicians, artists and fortune tellers. There's a cooking school on offer for those looking to fine-tune (or learn) their Gumbo, jambalaya and creole recipes, or for those keen to get on the mighty bayou, why not jump on an airboat cruise, and even have a go at holding a baby gator. Back in the city, the Mardi Gras Museum could be calling, most likely tempting you to come back to the city and experience the event first hand.

It's no wonder Memphis, Tennessee, pulls so many pilgrims - not only is it the home of blues, it's also the home of barbecued meat. Now that's a winning combo. Lose yourself to dance on a group night out on Beale Street, where Blues music was first birthed among its juke joints and honky tonks.

Today we pay homage to Elvis, the late and great King of Rock’n’Roll. We'll visit and tour his former home, Graceland, where you will get up close and personal with his fabulously flamboyant jumpsuits and many gold records. You’ll learn the art of whiskey making on a guided tour, and for those that are 21 and above, get a tasting of this drop in its true home…all in the name of culture, of course. No doubt feeling merry and ready to take on our next spot, we’ll jump back on the coach and head south.
