DAY 1
SINGAPORE - BELGRADE (MEALS ON BOARD)
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
DAY 2
BELGRADE (MEALS ON BOARD/DINNER)
Upon arrival in Belgrade, embark on a city tour. Start with a visit to Belgrade Fortress which was built as a defensive structure on a ridge overlooking the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers. Today, the fortress showcases the unique history of Belgrade. The complex is made up of the fortress itself, divided into the Upper and Lower Town, and the Kalemegdan Park. Next, visit House of Flowers, the mausoleum of Josip Broz Tito who was the former Yugoslav president.
DAY 3
BELGRADE - SKOPJE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive toward Skopje. Skopje, the capital of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), was an important city for the Ottomans from the end of the 14th century. The Skopje of today retains much of the Turkish flavour and is a thriving modern city. Embark on a city tour visiting sights such as Stone Bridge, Memorial House of Mother Teresa, Mustafa Pasha’s Mosque and Skopje Fortress, a historic fortress located in the old town and on the highest point in the city overlooking the Vardar river. The fortress is also depicted on the coat of arms of Skopje, which in turn is incorporated in the city's flag. Thereafter, proceed to visit the Old Bazaar and National Museum.
DAY 4
SKOPJE - OHRID (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
This morning, head towards Ohrid, the largest city on Lake Ohrid. Ohrid is one of only 28 sites that are designated as both a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Site and UNESCO World Heritage Natural Site. Visit the 11th-century Samuil’s Fortress, which commands a superb view of the whole lake and is also one of the largest medieval fortifications preserved in the country. Continue to visit St Clement of Ohrid Cathedral, St Sofia Church and the 2000-year-old Roman amphitheatre which is still in use today. Later, spend some time to shop and explore the city.
DAY 5
OHRID - BERAT - TIRANA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
This morning, continue your journey to Berat in Albania. Visit Berat Castle, a fortress overlooking the entire town. Continue to explore the nearby Onufri National Museum and Bachelors' Mosque, that was built in 1827 housing an attractive portico and an interesting external decoration of flowers, plants, and houses. Proceed to King Mosque, which is highly regarded for its finely-decorated fine ceiling. End your tour with a visit to The Lead Mosque and Halveti Teqe which has an ornate, carved and gilded ceiling. Later, continue to Tirana, the capital of Albania.
DAY 6
TIRANA - SHKODRA - PODGORCIA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Enjoy a walking tour of Tirana, where you will visit some important landmarks such as Skanderbeg Square, clock tower, Et’hem Bey Mosque, pyramid and Mother Teresa Square. Next, proceed to Shkodra, a cultural centre and one of Albania's oldest cities. After lunch, view the ruins of Rozafa Castle before crossing the border into Montenegro and its capital, Podgorica.
DAY 7
PODGORICA - BUDVA - KOTOR - MOSTAR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Continue on your journey along the spectacular Montenegrin coast. En route, pass by the city of Budva and drive down a spectacularly steep road down to the Bay of Kotor, the deepest fjord in Southern Europe and the only fjord in the Mediterranean. Visit the old town of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved and most beautiful fortified medieval towns in the Mediterranean. Visit Cathedral of St Tryphon, built to honour the patron saint of the city. Later, cross the border to Dubrovnik and onwards to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
DAY 8
MOSTAR - SARAJEVO (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
This morning, explore Mostar, a city situated on the Neretva River and the 5th-largest city in the country. Visit Stari Most, commonly known as Old Bridge. Built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, the bridge is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. Next, explore the Old Bazaar and the cobbled old town that extends on both sides of the bridge that is filled with shops selling local souvenirs. Thereafter, continue on your tour to Koski Mehmed Pasa Mosque and marvel at the exquisite interior of the mosque. Next, continue to Sarajevo, the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Start your tour at the old town which is the oldest and most historically significant area of Sarajevo. Visit Bascarsija, Sebilj fountain and Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque to view the city’s most remarkable monument from the Ottoman period. Lastly, proceed to Latin Bridge, the place where WWI started.
DAY 9
SARAJEVO - BELGRADE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
In the morning, proceed to visit Tunnel Museum to experience the life of the besieged during the war. This tunnel is an important reminder of the war and important symbol of the city’s former struggle. Thereafter, return to Belgrade and proceed for lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the city.
DAY 10
BELGRADE - SINGAPORE (BREAKFAST/MEALS ON BOARD)
If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
