Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Hanoi. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, the political, economic, cultural, commercial, and tourist center of the country. After lunch, visit to West Lake include Tran Quoc Pagoda which was built in the 6th century, making it Vietnam’s oldest temple. Continue it; let take a pleasant walk along the Hanoi 36 Old Streets. It is the streets that make up the uniqueness of Hanoi Old Quarter. Once selling or producing specific products ranging from drums to silk, the streets of Hanoi Old Quarter have now drifted into different direction while retaining many of their traditional traits.

HANOI – (APPROX 2 HRS DRIVE) HALONG BAY

Stay at Muong Thanh Luxury Quang Ninh Hotel or equivalent
After breakfast, visit Ba Dinh Square, Presidential Palace (out view), Ho Chi Minh House and Hoan Kiem Lake. Continue it, proceed to Halong Bay. Halong translates as ‘where the dragon descends into the sea’, and legend claims the islands of Halong Bay were created by a great dragon from the mountains. As it charged towards the coast, its flailing tail gouged out valleys and crevasses. When it finally plunged into the sea, the area filled with water, leaving only the pinnacles visible. Designated a World Heritage site in 1994, this mystical landscape of limestone islets is often compared to Guilin in China or Krabi in southern Thailand. In reality, Halong Bay is more spectacular. The bay’s immense numbers of islands are dotted with wind- and wave-eroded grottoes, and their sparsely forested slopes ring with birdsong. Upon arrival, check into hotel and enjoy your free and easy time.

Continue to visit to Ti Top Island (Paradise Island), a great place to have a panoramic view of the beautiful Halong Bay and Moon Lake tour at own expenses.

After breakfast, head to Bama, a locale renowned for the longevity of its residents. After arriving in Bama, visit the longevity island to enjoy a longevity banquet that has been specially prepared by the locals. During the banquet, youths from the Yao tribe would perform beautiful tribal songs and dance. At the longevity village, visit a centenarian who is still able to weave and run the household.

BAMA

Stay at Bama Huayu Hotel (5 star) or equivalent
Today, visit Baimo Tiankeng, a natural art palace. This is a classic karst cave and what you see inside is the product of millions of years of natural processes. Enroute pass by magical and unique River of Life, said to be the cause of widespread longevity in Bama. This river is said to be a seal given as a gift to the people of Bama by the God of Longevity, blessing generations and generations of the Bama people with long and healthy lives. Continue it, drive to the Bainiao Grotto also known as “Skylights over Water Ripples”. Enjoy the beauty of the emerald waters and caves aboard little boats. Amidst the gentle rocking of the boat, listen to the sounds of nature and embark on a journey that can rival that of Alice in Wonderland. The grotto is a complex web of small waterways and the interior reminds one of the Dragon King’s underwater palace, beautifully decorated and illusionary. The sights resemble that of the Reed Flute Cave in Guilin. As it is only accessible by boat, some have referred to it as the reed flute cave on water. Lastly, explore the Bama Crystal Palace, a natural oxygen bar at own expenses. After dinner, enjoy the “Dream of Bama” at your own expense, a performance set in nature that depicts the lives of the people in Bama. More than 200 performers play a part in this show with a dreamlike natural setting to re-enact the local folk customs.
