Evoke your inner child and relive some of that childlike wonder as you pay a visit to Santa’s Home to meet Santa and his family of elves in the flesh! Tonight, prepare yourself for a once-in-a-lifetime experience with an overnight stay in a glass igloo, where you can sleep under the dazzling Arctic night sky. If weather permits, you may be lucky enough to witness more of the Northern Lights from the comfort of your bed.

SARRISELKA – LUOSTO - ROVANIEMI

Today, travel to Luosto. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting ride on Amethyst Pendolino, a special snow vehicle, to the top of Lampivaara Hill and admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of Lapland. Then, visit Lampivaara Amethyst Mine and enjoy an amethyst panning session, in which you have the chance to dig your own purple quartz, the precious jewel of Lapland. After lunch, depart Luosto for Rovaniemi. Proceed to Santa Claus Village, a place where fairy tales come true. Meet Santa Claus in his lodge, have your picture taken and do not forget to send greetings to loved ones back home bearing the special stamp of the Santa Claus Village post office. Then, participate in a special Arctic Circle crossing ceremony and receive a certificate of crossing. In the evening, continue your search for the mysterious Aurora Borealis on a Northern Lights hunting bus tour.

If time permits, you may wish to join an optional snowmobile safari to explore this otherworldly Lappish landscape at your own expense. Today, start your visit at Finland’s finest museum, Arktikum, for an interactive lesson in Lappish history and culture, and be sure to take a stroll in the museum’s gorgeous glass gallery. Next, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Helsinki.

HELSINKI – SINGAPORE

Today, embark on a city tour to view Helsinki’s administrative centre, Senate Square, University of Helsinki, Helsinki Cathedral, Government Palace and Sederholm House, the city’s oldest stone building. Head to the lively Market Square before continuing on to the residential and diplomatic quarters of Kaivopuisto Park. Then, head to one of Helsinki’s landmarks, Sibelius Monument, created by Eila Hiltunen in honour of composer Jean Sibelius before visiting the extraordinary Temppeliaukio Church, constructed out of solid rock. Next, be amazed by Finland’s outstanding architectural design at Finlandia Hall, Helsinki Music Centre and Main Post Office. Thereafter, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
