This morning, transfer to Taipei Songshan Airport for your domestic flight to Taitung. Next, transfer to Xiaoyeliu Scenic Area, a geological wonderland with dozens of fascinating rock formations and be enthralled by the spectacular shoreline of Pacific Ocean. Then, proceed to Amis Aboriginal Tribe Cultural Centre where you will learn about the aboriginal tribes’ history and culture, and enjoy Amis Aboriginal Tribe’s song and dance performances. Stop by Corals Museum before heading to Sanxiantai and relish in its rocky coastal views. Head over to Pisirian and discover more about the tribal culture while spotting 11 different illustration works by Jimmy Liao found in the different corners of the place. Enjoy a romantic evening at Tiehua Music Village, a creative haven for Taitung’s emerging artists and musicians. This evening, check in to a local 5-star hot spring resort for your 3-night stay. This morning, rise early for a colourful hot air balloon experience and capture a spectacular 360 degree view of Taitung canyons. Next, proceed to Luye Gaotai and admire the picturesque scenery of mountains in the distance and lush tea plantations. Then, make your way to Guanshan, reputed as “Taiwan’s Rice County” and visit Guanshan Rice County School. The school was transformed from a rice mill and granary to an experiential educational institute for tourists to learn more about the end to end process of producing rice. Participate in a DIY Chihshang rice packing session and bring home a packet of premium rice. Set amidst vast paddy fields, the scenery of Chihshang Sea of Seasonal Flowers will change according to the four seasons. Enroute, stop at Mr. Brown Avenue, also known as “Takeshi Kaneshiro’s Avenue” and set your soul free from the hustle and bustle of city life. If time permits, you can rent a bicycle at your own expense and explore the vast paddy fields firsthand. Thereafter, explore Zhengqi Road Fruit Street, famous for the congregation of fruits stalls selling locally produced fruits. You will be spoilt for choice as you select from the myriad of seasonal fruits and local specialty snacks.

Please prepare warm clothes for the hot air balloon experience that will take around 5 minutes. Morning call will be around 3.30am local time. Hot air balloon experience is subject to weather conditions, wind speed and safety issues and will be replaced by a guided tour to view the firing of hot air balloon if unavailable.

TAITUNG - HUALIEN

This morning, proceed to scenic Hualien and visit Fuxing Forest Park to learn more about the folk culture of the locals. Thereafter, make a stop at Pineapples Farm for some pineapples picking and tasting. After a stopover at Tropic of Cancer Marker Park, visit the newest and
largest market in Hualien, Dongdamen Night Market to experience Taiwan’s unique night market culture and sample local street snacks or shop for souvenirs.

HUALIEN

After breakfast, visit a lingzhi specialty centre before heading Taroko National Park and marvel at the marble-walled canyons, towering mountains and spectacular geological formations like Taroko Gorge, Changchun Shrine and Swallow Grotto. Then, stopover at Qixing Lake to enjoy views of the crescentshaped beach and Pacific Ocean’s azure sea water. This evening, proceed to Hualien Cultural & Creative Industries Park where art studios have been refurbished from the original factory and are now creative art spaces for exhibitions and events.

HUALIEN - TAIPEI

After breakfast, enjoy an east coast scenic train ride to Taipei. Upon arrival, visit the stately Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, dedicated to the political and military leader which features enormous marble edifice towers over landscaped gardens, statuesque pavilions and placid ponds. Then, head to a Pixiu lucky charm centre and pineapple cookie speciality store. This evening, immerse yourself in the vibrant ambience at Ximending, Taipei’s famed shopping area and epicentre of the city’s youth culture to shop and people watch.
