DAY 2
Incheon – Pyeongchang
Upon arrival, make your way to Jeonggangwon, established to promote the values and merits of traditional Korean food culture in the world. You will get to learn from a Korean culinary expert and participate in a DIY bibimbap session, and enjoy it for lunch after. Next, be mesmerised by the serene beauty of Mt Odaesan, which is one of Korea’s most noted mountains known for its spectacular changing scenery each season. In Spring, wildflowers bloom brightly to enchant visitors; Summer welcomes the verdant hue of green trees shading atmospheric wooden trails; yellow, orange and bright purplish-red foliage creates the perfect Autumn backdrop and dazzling snow flowers signal the coming of Winter. You will also visit the historic Woljeongsa Temple, which is located in a forested valley east of Mt Odaesan. This humble temple is also the site of Seongbo Museum, displaying artefacts and Buddhist relics from the Goryeo dynasty including a 9-storey octagonal pagoda and a seated stone Buddha.

DAY 3
Pyeongchang - Gyeongju – Daegu
Rise and shine! Gear up for a morning of experiential fun at Daegwallyeong Skyranch, a vast grazing landscape of rolling and treeless hills that is well preserved and relatively untouched by human intervention, and enjoy a tractor ride and sheep feeding session. Thereafter, take a leisure drive to Gyeongju, a city of unparalleled heritage and culture. Your 1st stop: a visit to Bulguksa Temple, which was designated by UNESCO as a World Cultural Asset. Next, visit Seokguram Grotto, a stone temple crafted from granite that was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1995.

Thereafter, take an idyllic walk at Juknokwon, a 16,000-squaremetre bamboo forest with artificial waterfalls, pavilions and traditional Korean structures. Tonight, savour a restorative Korean mushroom steamboat dinner.

This morning, explore tranquil Jeungdo Island, which is the 1st city to be designated a slow city in Asia, by virtue of its unspoiled natural landscape and clean, pristine waters. Get back to basics with a visit to Taepyeong Salt Farm, Korea’s largest single salt farm. Experience the wonders of salt therapy at Salt Cave Healing Center. Afterwhich, enjoy a cup of savoury salt ice-cream. Thereafter, visit Jjangttungeo Bridge. Stretching over open waters covering a distance of 470 metres, it is also Korea’s 1st sea bridge constructed with wood. Proceed to Jeonju and conclude the day with a better understanding of Korean culture. You will also be able to don the traditional Korean dress and enjoy a stroll through the Jeonju traditional hanok village in a Hanbok dress-up session. Tonight, savour a restorative Korean ginseng chicken soup dinner.

Daejeon – Uiwang - Gwangmyeong – Seoul
This morning, embark on an exciting adventure at Uiwang Rail Bike. You will get to try out a stress-free rail bike experience along a 4.3-kilometre-long trail which takes about 40 minutes to complete. Besides getting some light exercise, you will also get to enjoy the beautiful lake view. After which, visit Gwangmyeong Cave, an abandoned mine spanning approximately 8 kilometres in length and reaching 275 metres in depth. This cave is different from other caves due to its unique location in the centre of the metropolitan city, thus becoming a top natural attraction for visitors not only from surrounding suburbs, but from the big city as well. The cave was founded for industrial mining mainly to excavate gold used for war supplies but despite its heartbreaking history, it has now been turned successfully into a living museum, exhibiting exotic and mysterious geological materials. This cave is also particularly popular as it was one of the filming sites for the well-known television show “Running Man”. Thereafter, visit Bukchon Hanok Village, home to hundreds of traditional courtyard houses known as hanoks that date back to the Joseon dynasty.

Roam its stately grounds, delve into its storied past and imagine what it might have been like centuries ago. Next, visit Tongin Market. Dating back to June 1941, this was a public market set up for Japanese residents when Korea was under Japanese rule. Now, it is a bustling yet traditional market filled with street vendors, restaurants and grocery stores. After that, indulge in a spot of shopping at the stylish and ritzy Myeongdong.
