DAY 2
DELHI - JAIPUR
After breakfast, embark on a Delhi city tour to visit some of its historical monuments such as Qutab Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Standing at 72.5 metres, it is one of the tallest Islamic feature towers in the world. Nearby, amidst the ruins of Quwwat–ul Islam Mosque stands the Iron Pillar, which does not rust and has withstood the vagaries of weather for 1,500 years. Then, drive past the India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the unknown soldiers who perished in the course of duty, embassy area, a diplomatic enclave, and historic government buildings such as Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. Thereafter, proceed to Old Delhi and drive past Red Fort, the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Thereafter head to Jaipur, widely known as the Pink City. The city was so termed because it was colour washed in pink to welcome Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria of England in 1883.

JAIPUR
After breakfast, drive past the landmark of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal, a multi–layered palace with a profusion of windows and stone screens. Later, experience an elephant ride or jeep ride at Amber Fort, the former royal capital set against a backdrop of wooded hills. The various royal halls within the fort are richly decorated with intricate ivory, mirrors and glasswork which are complemented by exquisite wall paintings. Next, visit City Palace, known for its stunning architecture and Jantar Mantar, an 18th–century astronomical observatory with incredible sundials and sun clocks. Spend the afternoon at leisure. You may wish to explore the local shopping bazaars at your own expense.

After breakfast, head to Agra, the city of the famed Taj Mahal. On your way to Agra, stop by Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone phantom city. This magnificent monument, made of pure white marble, was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved Queen Mumtaz and took over 22 years to be built.
