DAY 1
SINGAPORE - BEIJING - XINING
Stay at local 4* Xining Qinghai Holiday Dynasty or New Silk Road Hotel or equivalent
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Xining. Xining is a highland ancient city with more than 2,100 years of history. It was formerly known as the “South Railway for Silk Road”. After the tour, we will check into the hotel to rest for the night.
Note: If flight to Xining is not available, we will book flight to Lanzhou via Beijing, and then take coach to Xining instead.

DAY 2
XINING – TA’ER MONASTERY – XINING
Stay at local 4* Xining Qinghai Holiday Dynasty or New Silk Road Hotel or equivalent
After breakfast, we will visit Kumbum Monastery, also known as Ta'er Monastery, which originated in 1379 from a pagoda that marked the birthplace of Tsong Kha-pa, founder of the Gelugpa Sect of the Tibetan people. The site covers around 400,000 square kilometers and is home to over 750 monks. One of the famous items in this monastery is the yak butter sculpture called "Suyouhua".

DAY 3
XINING – QINGHAI TIBET RAILWAY
Stay overnight in a communal 4-berth train cabin
After breakfast, we will have sufficient rest in the hotel room to adapt to the highland climate. Thereafter, we will meet up and transfer to Xining train station and board the Qinghai-Tibet train which will travel on the highest altitude railway in the world heading towards Lhasa.
* Due to the current operational procedures onboard the Qinghai-Tibetan Railway, the local operator will do their utmost to arrange for all passengers to be accommodated in the same cabin. Rooming in the berths will be arranged according to the travelling party’s size and age.

DAY 4
QINGHAI TIBET RAILWAY – NIGHT ARRIVAL IN LHASA
Stay at local 4* Lhasa Manasarovar Hotel/ Lhasa Jardin Secret Hotel or equivalent
It will be a whole day train journey heading towards Lhasa in the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, passing through Xining, Ge’ermu, Tuotuo River, Anduo, Naqu, Dangxiong and finally Lhasa. You will be able to enjoy spectacular views of Tibet on the way, such as Qinghai Lake, Kunlun Mountain and the freely grazing yaks on highlands. All meals on board the train will be at own expense. Upon arrival in Lhasa, we have to take ample rest in order to acclimatize to the high altitude. Lhasa is an ancient city with 1,300 years of history; it is also the hub of Tibet’s Politics, Economy, Culture and Religion.

DAY 5
LHASA POTALA PALACE – JOKHANG TEMPLE – BARKHOR STREET

After breakfast, we will visit the landmark of Lhasa – the Potala Palace. Potala in Sanskrit means sacred place of the Goddess of Mercy. This amazing palace has the honor of being the highest ancient palace in the world. It is also the Tibetan Political Centre and residence of previous Dalai Lama since the seventh century AD. In the afternoon, we will visit the ancient Jokhang Temple, with 1,350 years of history dating back to the 7th century reign of King Songsten Gampo is the most sacred place in the eyes of all Tibetan Buddhists. Thereafter, we walk around the most bustling handicraft market of Lhasa - the Barkhor Street, for some minority handicraft souvenirs. We will then savor the Specialty Highland Mushroom Steamboat for dinner.

DAY 6
LHASA – YAMDROKTSO LAKE –SHIGATSE
Stay at Shigatse Jiumuyamei International Hotel/ Shigatse Tashi Quti Hotel or equivalent

Today we will set off from Lhasa, climbing over the Kambala Snow Mountain with an altitude of 4,900 meters to visit the Yamdroktso Lake –the world’s highest altitude fresh water lake and also renown as the sacred lake in the sky. Thereafter, along the way we will see an awesome roadside view of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier and Gyantse, which is the outdoor filming scene of the “Valley of the Red River” that is surrounding the Yamdroktso Lake. Next, we will visit the Palkor Monastery, which consists of the 3 major Tibetan religious groups in one monastery. It is also well known for its exquisite mural and carvings. We may also see the Zongshan anti-British Ruins from far before we proceed to Shigatse.

DAY 7
SHIGATSE – TASHILUNPO MONASTERY – TIBETAN MASTIFF PARK – LHASA

After breakfast, we will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the final resting place of Panchen Lama and also one of the 6 major monasteries for Tibetan Yellow Sect. This monastery was built by the first Panchen Lama in 1447 and thereafter it became the residence of all the previous Panchen Lama. The world’s tallest Maitreya Buddha statue, which is 28 meters tall, is also enshrined at the monastery. We will also see the Stupa-tomb of the Tenth Panchen Lama here. En-route you will visit to The Park of Oriental Miraculous Mastiff. Tibetan Mastiffs are a dog breed that can be as huge as a donkey and have a fierce appearance. It is sometimes nicknamed as “Miraculous Beast”, “Number One Dog” and “Antique Dog” and they originated from the highlands of Tibet, at 3,000-5,000m above the sea where the weather is cold. Lastly, we will coach back to Lhasa and appreciate the art of Tibetan Thangka. Dinner will be Tibetan flavour, get to try out tsampa, butter tea, yogurt, yak meat and highland barley wine.

DAY 8
LHASA – KATHMANDU
TIME DIFFERENCE: 2 HRS 15 MINS

Take flight to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. From there, you can have the great bird view of Mt Everest and whole Himalaya range by the flight. The Tibetan name for Mt. Everest is "Mt. Quomolangma" which literally means "The Third Goddess" .The views are stupendous on a clear day, and feature a huge sweep of the Himalaya range including peaks over 8000, Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Gyachung, and Cho Oyu. Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then the guide will take us go to the historical center and Sightseeing Bhaktapur - the most medieval-look town in Kathmandu valley when arrive in Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is known as the city of fine arts. The city is full of Hindu temples and the Buddhist monuments. The diversity of the medieval culture that allowed both Hinduism and Buddhism to flourish has left a rich legacy of impressive sightseeing in this city.

KATHMANDU – POKHARA

After breakfast, take coach to Pokhara and commence a full day sightseeing of Pokhara, enroute enjoys the Himalayan mountain scenery. Pokhara, the most popular destination in Nepal after Kathmandu. You will enjoy a trip along the bank of Phewa Lake while admiring the stunning view of the Fish Tail's Peak reflected in the silver surface of the water. You can also see the wonderful Annapurna panorama forms a superb backdrop to Pokhara from the lake.

DAY 10
POKHARA
Stay at local 4* Temple Tree Resort or equivalent
In the early morning, we take coach to Sanrangkot to catch the sunrise. The trekking paradise is surrounded by mountains where Mt Annapurna is covered with snows all year round. Soak in the sunlight that slowly turns the whole of Machhapuchhre Himal or Fishtail Peak into golden colour. Then, we will be taking a boat ride at Phewa Lake. After that, visit Hindu Temple, Big Valley and Devi’s Waterfall. The rest of the day you can have some own leisure activities. Take a walk at the lakeside, rent a bike to visit the nearby villages, trekking, shopping or enjoy yourself at the local bar.

DAY 11
POKHARA – KATHMANDU

After breakfast, take coach back to Kathmandu. Enroute, enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will be visiting Bodhanath to see the largest Pagoda in the World. It has been an important place of pilgrimage since its construction. Afterwards, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kumari Bahal and Kasthamandap. It is said that only woods from one tree were used during the construction of Kasthamandap. Dinner will be local specialty at Nepalese restaurant. You can enjoy local singing and dancing performance while having the farewell dinner.
