DAY 2
BAKU
Upon arrival, be greeted by our local guide and embark on a city tour of Baku. Included is a visit to Memory Alley – “Shehidler Khiyabany”, panoramic view of Baku city from the Martyrs Lane. Visit the complex of “Shirvan Shahs” Palace which is the pearls of Azerbaijan which consist of 9 structures. Built in the 15th and 16th centuries, belie the grandeur of the masonry and inscriptions on the royal chambers, mosques, and mausoleums within the compound. Located in the heart of the Old Town, the royal complex contains a domed pavilion, a small two story palace, courtyards, a royal mausoleum, and a mosque. Explore the Old Town and view the Synyk Kala Minaret, the city’s oldest building (1093). The Lezgi Mosque constructed in the 12th century stands near the center of Baku’s Old Town. Other sights included are Maiden Tower and Medieval Fortress of Old Baku

DAY 3
BAKU – GOBUSTAN – BAKU
Depart to Gobustan a designated UNESCO Heritage Site famed for its archaeological monuments. Travel southwest of Baku along the Caspian shore to the volcanic desert, where rocks covered with drawings stand amidst chaos of stones and mountains. There are more than 4,000 rock drawings left by artists of the Neolithic period. Near Mt. Beyukshad there is a large, stone-enclosed circular plot with an altar in the center, where ritual ceremonies were held. Not far away on the mountainside is a Latin inscription carved more than 2,000 years ago. Continue to visit the Medieval Market Square and Medieval Karavansaray which were use as accommodation for traders from the Silkroad.

DAY 4
BAKU – SHEMAKHY – LAHIC – SHEKI
Head towards Sheki stopping to visit the Diri Baba mausoleum in Maraza village then to Shamakha to visit the historical mosque Juma (Friday), mausoleum of Yeddi Gumbez – (Seven Domes) and the grave yard of Shirvan Shahs’. While at Basqal village, taste the local mineral medicinal water “Bado”. Upon arrival at ShekiPhoto stop at Ismayiylly or Lahic, is a village on the southern slopes of Greater Caucasus before continue to Sheki village.

DAY 5
SHEKI – LAGODEKHI BORDER – SIGHNAGHI – TBILISI
Morning visit the Central Bazar, the medieval fortress, Sheki Khans’ palace, local museum of history, local handicrafts workshop and enjoy a panoramic view of the town, mosque-madrassah. Cross the Azerbaijan - Georgian Border and continue towards Sighnaghi – a small town in the east of Georgia situated on the mountainside in the historical region of Kakheti. It was founded in the 17th century during the reign of King Heraclius II of Georgia, and as locals say, it is the only city in Georgia that has fully preserved the fortress walls that are crowned with watchtowers, where one can climb to get the magnificent view of the Alazan valley. The town has two central squares with casinos, banks, mayor’s office and a wedding house where one marry anytime of the day. Thus, Sighnaghi is called the city of lovers. You will find many cozy places, hotels and hostels to your taste, street cafes and restaurants, where you can try the home-made Kakhetian wines. There goes a long list. You will have some free time to explore the town before continue to Tbilisi.

DAY 6
TBILISI
Tbilisi over 1500 years since becoming the capital of Georgia has been destroyed and rebuilt on nearly 30 different occasions following a long history of fighting off Persian, Arab, Turkmen, Mongol, Turk and, finally, Russian invaders. Start your sightseeing today with a visit to Metekhi Church of the Virgin. Other sights included are Sameba Holy Trinity Cathedral, Tbilisi Sulphuric Baths and Narikala Fortress.

DAY 7
TBILISI – SADAKHLO BORDER – HAGHPAT – DILIJAN
Enjoy a scenic drive as you head south into Armenia. Visit Mtskheta, a UNESCO world cultural heritage attraction and the ancient capital of Georgia. Mtskheta is home to the first Georgian Christian Church, the 6th/7th century Jvari Monastery, and the Sveti- Tskhoveli Cathedral. According to legend, Christ’s robe is buried here and thus believed that Christ will appear here on the day of reckoning to speak to the people. After passing through customs, continue to Dilijan “Armenian Switzerland”. Visit the Sanahin Monastery, an architectural complex of outstanding works of Medieval Armenian. Tour the 10th-13th centuries Haghpat historical and architectural monument set amidst forest-clad hills close to the town of Alaverdi. The monument is preserved by UNESCO and included in the World Heritage List.

DAY 8
DILIJAN SEVAN – GARNI/GEGHARD – YEREVAN
Enjoy a walking tour of Dilijan then to Lake Sevan, a popular summer resort and one of the world’s highest fresh-water lakes at just over 6200 feet which is also one of the many routes of the Silk Road surrounded by steep mountains and pine forests. Embark on a tour of Lake Sevan- the emerald of Armenia, with a visit to the 9th century Sevan Monastery. In the harmony of the relief and the virgin nature you will see the pagan Garni architectural complex of the 1st century and feel the spirit of ancient ages. Driving through the gorge will take you to the cave monastery of Geghard (12th – 13th centuries).

DAY 9
YEREVAN
Echmiadzin the former capital city now home to the Supreme Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox faith is considered one of the holiest sites in Armenia. The main cathedral founded by St. Gregory in 303 BC sits on a former pagan shrine. Beautifully illuminated manuscripts, jewelled crosses and chalices are housed in the Cathedral’s treasury. Armenia was the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as the state religion while Georgia was the second. Visit Erebuni Fortress where you can view Mt. Ararat believed to be the resting place of Noah Ark and the Museum of the Medieval Armenian Culture - Matenadaran having a collection of over 16000 ancient manuscripts.

DAY 10
YEREVAN – SADAKHLO BOARDR – TBILISI
After breakfast, cross the boarder back to Tbilisi – Georgia and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
