ARRIVAL – LUANG PRABANG

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to hotel for check in. If time permits, visit the famous Luang Prabang Night Market. You will be able to find a wide selection of textiles and handicrafts made by the locals. Have dinner at local restaurant before returning to hotel.

LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVES – LUANG PRABANG

After breakfast, head to King’s former residence, Royal Palace Museum, to learn about Laos history and culture. Following, take a boat ride up the Mekong River to Pak Ou Caves (est 1.5hrs). On the way, stop by Thin Hong, a picturesque village and get a glimpse of the daily life of the local. Visit the Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves housing hundreds of Buddha statues. Return to Luang Prabang by boat or car. On the way back, stop at Ban Xang Khong handmade paper village to pick up some handmade souvenirs.

LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI WATERFALL – LUANG PRABANG

This morning, take a leisure drive to Kuangsi waterfall located 32km at the west of Luang Prabang. Enroute, stop by a Hmong village, Ban Na Oune. After a short walk through the forest, you will arrive at the breathtaking waterfall. The waterfall flows through jungle and empties out into a series of three gently cascading pools. You can do some swimming in the cooling water or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature. Thereafter, visit the Khmu village Ban Thapene. Khmu men are especially good basket weavers and can sometimes be watched crafting

LUANG PRABANG – VIENTIANE (

After breakfast, transfer airport for your domestic flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, meet your Vientiane city guide. Your tour will start with a visit to Wat Sisaket, famous for housing thousands of tiny Buddha images and rows with hundreds of seated Buddhas. Being the oldest temple in town, it has survived from the Siamese war of 1828. Next, proceed to one of the most impressive temple in Vientiane, Wat Ho Phra Keo. Constructed in 1565 by Lao royal family, it used to be the former home-temple of Emerald Buddha statue. Next, proceed to That Luang Stupa, the national symbol and the most sacred monument in the country. That Luang looks more like a fortress surrounded by high walls and it features two temples with the main stupa, the top of which is covered with gold leaf, standing 148 feet tall. Thereafter, head to Vientiane Patuxai Monument for some photo taking. Patuxai is also known as the Arc of the triumph of Vientiane or Victory Gate. The victory gate was built in 1962 to honour those who fought in the independence of Laos against France and those who perished during the World War II. Make a trip to Buddha Park located 25km from downtown Vientiane on the Mekong. Enroute you will see the Friendship Bridge. The Buddha Park is a famous sculpture park with more than 200 religious statues including a huge 40m high reclining Buddha. Tonight, enjoy a traditional dance show while you have your dinner in the local restaurant.

After breakfast, transfer to Vientiane Airport for your flight home.
