There are 28 wooden Japanese-style dormitories in Hinoki Village. Today, Hinoki village serves Taiwan in the tourism industry with many locals peddling creative works that are a perfect fit as souvenirs, arts exhibition from time to time, instagram worthy art installations, visit nostalgic antique toy world to reminisce the good old days. Also can just drop by their coffeehouse and restaurants for a unique dining experience if time permitted.

The station is a typical Japanese-styled structure made of Alishan Formosan cypress which was the first stop of Alishan Forest Railway Line in the early days.
*Visit : Alishan Forest Railway Garage Park
Alishan Forest Railway Garage Park is a century-old depot that was built for constructing and repairing passenger cars, goods and wagons since Alishan Forest Railway started service. Today, part of the building has been reconstructed and a number of rare cars are kept in the garage.

Sleeping Forest uses the elements of the park's existing trees, branches, air-raid shelters and street lights to create cute sleeping creatures that show the peace and tranquility of the forest to convey the relaxation of the forest magic. Short getaway from metropolitan to the little paradise to see crystal clear sea, beautiful coral island and various shapes of coral rocks such as Vase Rock, Mouse Rock, Guanyin Rock and Indian Rock. Also, visit Black Dwarf Cave to see one of the best known attractions in the island and its local legend.
Note: Xiao Liu Qiu Island day tour is subjected to weather conditions. If the tour is not available, itinerary will be replaced by National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium + Hengchun Old Town.
Shopping : Rui Feng Night Market

Known locally as Five Stories (Wu Ceng Lou Zi), it was Tainan's first department store and Taiwan's second, when it opened in 1932. Do go inside to ascend the sweeping staircase, peer through geometrical window openings, and have a ride on the grandma lift with the dial floor indicator. There's a viewing deck on the top floor where you'll find a Shinto shrine and evidence of the damage it suffered during the war.
*Visit : Snail Alley, Zhenxing Street, Shennong Street (Walking tour)
Snail Alley, a lane in Tainan modeled in the literary works of Tainan-born author Yeh Shih-tao. Snails in various forms appear in nooks and corners along the small lane together with Yeh’s plaques and decorative illustrations signified travelers to slow down and enjoy the unique atmosphere in the small lane. Proceed to Zhengxing Street, visit the most hip and happening neighborhood of Tainan with popular sweet treats and tea at own expansion. Walking to Shennong Street which is often considered the best preserved street in Tainan. This street is part of an area that was the busiest working zone as a port where goods were transferred, stored and sold during the Qing Dynasty. You will see small shop-sized temples and the traditional workshops and crumbling homes have converted to cafes, galleries and art spaces.

It is a grassy and muddy tidal flat where you can catch the sea breeze with beautiful scenery and spot thousands of crabs, mud-skippers and rare birds.
