ARRIVAL – LUANG PRABANG

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, meet and transfer to your choice of hotel. Then, have dinner. If time permits, visit the famous Night Market where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people.

LUANG PRABANG

After breakfast, enjoy a short guided tour and see the city’s oldest temple Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, representing classical Laotian architecture. Following, board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, enjoy the panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves; two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Thereafter, stop by the villae of Ban Xanghai, where the local speciality of rice wine is produced. Head back to Luang Prabang city and take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving. Visit other villages like Ban Xangkhong, Ban Xienglek, which is known for silk weavings and for Saa (jute) Papermaking. End the tour with a climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, glided stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River.

LUANG PRABANG

Experience the unique Laos tradition in their daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. Next, visit the Phousi Market and see offerings such as dried buffalo skin, local tea, and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. After breakfast, visit the former Royal Palace and Houses (Museum), which hosts a range of interesting artifacts, as well as the stupa of Wat Visoun. Then, have lunch before visiting local villages of Laos ethnic minority groups of Ban Ouay (a Hmong Village), Ban Ou (a Laoloum village) and Ban Thapene (a Khmu village). Following, head towards Khuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. Thereafter, return to the city and end the tour with a sunset at Watthabath Tai.

LUANG PRABANG – VIENTIANE

After breakfast, transfer to Luang Prabang Airport for your Domestic Flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival at Vientiane Airport, meet and transfer to Vientiane hotel before embarking on your Vientiane City Tour. Visit the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple of minature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha image. On the way to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, stop enroute to take some pictures of the Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. After, have dinner and return to your choice of hotel.

VIENTIANE

After breakfast, visit the Buddha Park, which has an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong Riverside meadow, near the Friendship Bridge. In the noon, visit the morning market and continue to visit Chaoanou Vong Pak RK for sunset on the Mekong River. End the tour with a dinner with a Traditional Dance Show.
