Witness the Grandeur and lavishness of Hassan II Mosque. The mosque was completed in 1993 on the shoreline and is one of the largest and most beautiful in the world with its 200m high minaret dominating the entire city.

See the city’s medina and Mohamed V Mausoleum built in traditional style. Its contemporary mosaics and spiral designs make a fascinating contrast with the adjacent Hassan Tower. Originally built in the 12th century, Oudaya Kasbah has been home to Arab tribes, Andalusian immigrants including some of Morocco’s most powerful sultans.

Well known all around the world for its incredible architecture, the construction of Bab Mansour’s original purpose was to pay homage to the sultan. Hence, the great emphasis put on the decorative details of the gate. The Royal Stables are an amazing site, as the massive stable yard was constructed to comfortably house no less than 12,000 royal horses. Most of the stables today are in ruin due to an earthquake during the 18th century.

Spend time exploring the 2000 year old ruins at the Unesco Heritage City of the ancient Roman ruins Volubilis. Get an idea of how life were during the Roman Empire.

Visit : Fez - Spiritual Capital of Morocco
Visit : Medina
At the medieval Medina, explore the famous souks where craftsmen carries on the trade in the age old tradition. Further down come pass the historical sites of Medersa Bou Inania, an Islamic school. Kairaouine Mosque, Morocco’s second largest mosque built in 857 by Fatima. Attached to the mosque is a Koranic School that was founded in the 14th century as a students’ dormitory. Other sights include Nejjarine Fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum.

Visit the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Minaret
Originated in the period of the great sultan Ahmad al Mansur Saadi, the tombs were discovered in 1917. Bahai Palace has one of the outstanding historical monuments built in the late 19th century. It contains beautiful gardens and rooms lavishly decorated. Being the largest Mosque in Marrakesh, Koutoubia Mosque has a large square with gardens, and is lit at night. The 77m high minaret, includes an arrow and orbs.
Visit : Djemaa El Fna Square, Art Galleries
Street restaurants serve all kinds of delicacies, storytellers recount tales of old, watch snake charmers, scribes write letters and opened air dentists, barbers practice their trades. The Square comes alive especially after dusk.
